Our song for Litha, aka the Summer Solstice, is part of our album The Windmill of the Year. It celebrates Bridie, the overlighting Divine Feminine spirit of the land of Avalon. She is also the bride of the Lord of Summer, who we first introduced in our song Beltane (hear that here: https://soundcloud.com/annie-dieu-le-veut/beltane) 

The word “Solstice” means "Sun stands still” in Latin, as it appears to do, for three days, at both the Summer and Winter Solstices. At the Summer Solstice, around the 21st of June in the northern hemisphere, the North Pole is turned the most towards the sun, providing us here with the longest day of sunshine of the year.

This is Avalon, raw earth of potter’s clay, 
where Bridie sleeps and dreams Her worlds into play.

Hello,
why am I making music? Because it's fun and frees me. I play piano, ukulele, cajon and with these means - and the electronic possibilities - I write songs to name the complexity of this life. Likewise the absurdity of the whole existence. Everything influences me, whether consciously or unconsciously.
