Whether it’s producing, remixing or dj’ing, Sander Kleinenberg has been building credibility on all fronts for over twenty-five years. He has established himself as an advocate of progress and most of all, a pivotal player on the frontier of electronic music. Starting out dj-ing at merely fifteen years old, a young Sander Kleinenberg was inspired by club music and hip-hop culture in the late eighties. This cultural shift inspired his own musical path, which in turn led to him traveling the world and spreading his sound along the way. Many awards, accolades and having performed all corners of the world later you could say it was destiny. 

Often mentioned when talking about the first wave of superstar dj’s from the progressive house wave around the turn of the century, Sander brought a mixture genres and styles to the table like never heard before. Quirky disco, psychedelia, Detroit techno, straight up soul and industrialism contributed greatly to the ever-evolving musical landscape in the ‘90s and 00’s. Sander’s eclectic persona and capability to always be two steps ahead of the rest have resulted in him being an award-winning dj and producer. As time passes by and his career unfolds, the pattern within it becomes more and more visible, Sander is a man on the move, always searching for the “perfect mix” in his own words. Sander’s relentless passion for perfection has kept him away from classification, putting hours upon hours into the enrichment of dj- and producer identity. Constantly twisting and shaping sounds. It’s this search for relevance in electronic musics development that keeps him re-inventing himself in every decade that has gone by since those early days. 

Today Sander looks back at his journey and thought it was time to make up the balance of all the corners of progress his career has taken him. You could call it a full circle type moment settling for nothing else but quality. If you are looking for someone who has searched high and low and has taken that into his current musical identity then Sander is your man. Like a fine wine matured into something wonderful.. Weaving generations, styles and a healthy eye on the future together in a relevant cocktail of musical maturity. In 2024 after a time of rejuvenation you can find Sander at a select number of dates around the world, revisiting his love for the clubs and countries that accompanied his journey along the way. He has a string of releases on the way marking his comeback to the dance floor both behind the decks and in the charts. It is time to once again rekindle his ability to bring levity and fun back to the dance floors.

Got my first DJ gig when I was 15 because I had the most records of all my friends. Soon after, I was getting paid to dj in such glamourous places as bowling alleys and dive bars. This teaches you a lot about pleasing a crowd ;) Soon discovered alternative dance and started working in my first real club, the lengendary Revival. From there, it was the emerging techno and house scene in Philly, then the US, more clubs, more gigs, travel came. Went to the UK for the first time in the early 90's, never looked back. House music is in my blood and my way of life.
I have been writing music since 1990, relased a bunch of cartoon rave white labels back in the day, formed my record label, Anthrum Recordings in 1998, about 300 tracks, 0  official releases :) I beleive in house in all its forms, but tend to have more progressive sound. And I am a sucker for a good remix of a classic non dance track.
In addition, I have building sound and lighting systems for nightclubs and events for 20 years. 
Recently, I have started a radio show on www.deephouselounge.com, a popular internet radio station. I really enjoy getting to spread my message of house to the entire world for free, every Sunday night, on SGRaSTAR (pronounced Sagittarious a star).

Drawing inspiration from a rich musical background of hiphop, freestyle, house and funk, Max's releases are instant classics underscored by moody keys, floor-stomping beats and dubbed-out soul, evoking the spirit of New York's deeply rooted dance culture.

Though he currently calls Pennsylvania home, Max’s native Brooklyn roots are evident in his production style and flexibility. When he's not cranking out some of the sickest beats this side of the Atlantic, Max can be found tearing up dancefloors throughout the Tri-State area within a growing sphere of influence as more people discover his amazing talent.

After taking time crafting a landscape of experimental music with F.O.R. & Sugarsmack Daddy, I decided to create music that is as atmospheric and it’s totally grooved worthy. My musical accomplishments are too numerous to explore in detail, But it can’t hurt to list them. I’ve been a drummer / percussion player for a little bit over 30 years. I’ve been a member for some of Philly’s well respected outfits like, Phil Moore Browne, West Vienna, Public Record, FOR, Sugarsmack Daddy, In Like Flynn, Goodbye Friday, Mark Boyce Combo, Gentlemen 4, The Back 2 Basic Band, Lines of Oppression, The Goats, Stereo Wreck, Akash, Rockers Galore, Whore House Suicide, The Skin Tone’s, and The London Victory Club. Playing places like Ohio, New York, Boston, Chicago, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, DC and Philadelphia.  I have worked with some of Philly finest like King Britt, Chris D (G-Love / Slightly Stupid), Blayer Pointdujour, J. C. Price, Shawn Walker, Daniel "Gravy" Thomas and June Lopez among others. I spent years crafting my art, my only desire is to present my sound all over the world.

Rob Paine's roots run deep. From the moment he heard the deep dubby sounds of Reggae as just a youth he knew he had found his sound. His love for the heavy Reggae sounds grew into a forward movement and soon took on a life of it's own by using the foundation of reggae music as his center piece for all his house & deep techno productions. In 1993 Rob began DJ'ing and throwing events with his crew, "Circle Productions", who were responsible for the most popular parties and weekly club nights in Philadelphia throughout the 90's. During this time Rob started producing a broad range of reggae and reggae influenced music including house, deep techno, broken beat, dub, and down-tempo. His unique sounds were soon being released on labels like Large, Tango, Shaboom & Greyhound just to name a few. Following the success of those tracks, his music was licensed to labels like Bedrock, Fabric & NRK. In 1998 Rob formed his own world-renowned imprint, Worship Recordings. 

The Shakedown events were soon developed as an outlet to showcase his productions and the artists signed to his label. Twelve years later, the Shakedown is still going strong.

Over the years Rob has performed at some of the most exclusive clubs and events in locations like Canada, Mexico, Jamaica and London. He has played the infamous Fabric, PS1 in NYC, and Francois K's Deep Space event. He has held monthly residencies in San Francisco, weeklies in South Beach Miami, performed year after year at the Shambhala & Soundwave festivals in BC, and is currently holding down residencies in DC and Philadelphia. When we asked Rob about holding it altogether he said "It's really exciting to be able to switch between the two genres of house & reggae... always keeping a fresh perspective on both genres and pushing the limits with new sound elements."

Rob produces the majority of the projects released on Worship. In 1999 he was awarded the 'Most Innovative Producer' by the Philadelphia City Paper. His 'dub house' style of production marked him as a forward thinker, blazing the path for future infusions of dub and house sounds for years to come.

He recently released 'What You See' EP on Matt Tolfrey's LeftRoom Records under the name Circle with partner Keith Landis & Gerhardt Koerner (Rise 8) that is doing extremely well. Being selected by Maceo Plex for recent mix compilation. Circle also released the Dark Waves EP on Worship in January, 2014. And a 45 for the vinyl only dub label ZamZam Sounds with his bredren Ras Heights under the name Heights + Worship. You will see a lot more releases from Circle and Rob Paine's other projects including a full length Rise 8 album and a EP on i Records.

Rob Paine is an innovator, visionary & one of the cities most prolific DJ's, producers & musicians. He continually pushes the elements of dub into house and techno music. He has created a world renowned studio & sound system with his full commitment to the city of Philadelphia's ever continuing music mecca. His talent shines furiously every time he performs whether it is House or Reggae or somewhere in between. Rob Paine does not disappoint. Pure quality every time.
