"Try It On," offers encouragement to anyone who agrees with Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz that "... the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true..." approves of how Cinderella and the Prince went about their business... and feels that this is probably as good a time as any to live life to the fullest and spread some love around.

My new song, Said a Father, was conceived as an acoustic tribute to fathers and mothers - and in this case, a couple of the best parents a child could ever hope to have. 

The video's music, lyrics, photographs - and my father's paintings -  continue to help unwrap the gift of those early "golden" years. 

Gratitude may not necessarily be uppermost in a child's mind or actions in "the heat of the moment" growing up, yet as I've come to realize over time: awareness of the sacrifices made by my parents  - and the love they gave my brother, sister and me - are the kind of presents you don't outgrow.

My new song,"Better Future," is an invitation for us to come together in the spirit of mutual respect, hard work, and common values - the American can-DO attitude. It not only made our united country possible in the first place, but the envy and hope of the world ever since. 

If ever there was a time for us to live up to the promise of those cherished words from The Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident..." that time is now. 

Woody Guthrie expressed it movingly in his folk song, "This Land is Your Land." So did Bob Dylan with "Blowin' in the Wind," John Lennon in "Imagine," and Bruce Springsteen in "The Rising." May the vast number of brighter tomorrows awaiting us and our children, and the realization of all we are capable of when putting our heads together, help summon our strength of common purpose in making these fondest of dreams a reality.
