About this journey :
In the technocratic world of today, with its hierarchical systems, mainstream social paradigms, stressful environments, prevailing fear of uncertainty and survival strategies of the mind, exercising self-awareness, raising own frequencies and establishing a deep connection with our Inner Selves have become new priorities on our way towards restoring balance and fulfilling our life potential. Everything inside and around us, be that specific qualities of our mind, creative talents, moments of inspiration, emotional waves, the location we were born or live in, people and objects we interact with, jobs and hobbies we choose, etc., represent a variety of resources that are always near us and available, and all we need to do is to look within ourselves in order to find what we need. Individual evolution, self-actualization and raising own vibrations through creative expression, personal fulfilment and surrendering to the flow of life have taken over from the outdated strategies of survival and struggle – we now all live in the world where the impossible has become possible, pure intentions are winning over forced choices, desires and fears, openness, kindness and creative mindset are setting a new standard in society. Nostalgic for the good ole Latin-American downtempo? Then this mixtape is just what you need with @lagartijeando delivering an ode to the Andean sound directly to your soul! Despite the international acclaim this great Argentinian producer has received over the last couple of years, he chose to stay in the small village where he was born and raised. His productions, featuring local instruments and motifs, manifest his admirable attachment to his origins and the traditional music of his homeland. His first approach to music, at the age of 14, was accidental because “nobody wanted to play bass guitar in town” so he learned it and started to play with his friends. It is astonishing how this almost random first step awakened his dormant talent for music which turned a boy into a brilliant electronic producer and music professor. The set that Lagartijeando prepared for UCR features many of his latest productions including seven unreleased tracks. Gentle instrumental sounds of flutes and drums, organic samples and a vibrant electronic beat blend beautifully into an enchanting musical journey which we are pleased to offer to our listeners.
