I recently installed an AI so I could see what it sounds like when someone besides me sings my song lyrics, and that the ONLY reason lol I think we all need to check it out so we know better what we are up against. Delighted for the opportunity to collaborate with JD on another of his songs. A fantastic tune about ‘The Wind’ a natural phenomenon that has in history held great significance and influence as far back as 5,000BC BC when sail-powered boats navigated the Nile River, and windmills in Persia and China ground grain and pumped water. 

I would never have thought about writing a song about it, which is why you work with someone with a great imagination!   

About the song
Since the beginning of time, the wind has always been there, a beautiful and dangerous power of nature, totally unpredictable, one that man has harnessed to power their sails and lately to generate electricity. I know the wind fairly well being a windsurfer and fair weather sailor. I know how beautiful and dangerous the wind can be. I have great respect for the wind and the Sea and always will have and this song is a tribute to her.

I would like to thank Finn Eces, my friend and co-writer of this song. Finn and I have been quite a number of songs under our belts now and I think it must be nearly time for the 1st Album Finn.
Finn’s voice and production skills have really taken “ The wind “ to a new level, fine tuning of the lyrics, adding in of that driving bass and funky guitar as well as those beautiful harmony vocals really set this song up to be a real Summer hit in all the beach bars around the world ( If Only )

When knowledge (not only music) will be managed in its multiple forms by Artificial Intelligence, what will become of - for example - old institutions such as universities? Will they become completely useless, as they already are to some extent? And what will become of those huge spaces, often located in the centre of ancient cities? It is a future that appears from time to time in my dreams; more than dreams, they are nightmares.

More and more strange people are appearing on social networks and also on platforms such as SoundCloud: meagre or improbable biographies, fake photographs, and above all AI-generated products offered to the community. Sometimes declaring it, sometimes not. Evidently, those who do not declare it have more luck: not everyone has yet developed the habit and the ear, not everyone can yet distinguish between what is an authentic song and what is not. Some will think: so what? Is there any difference? True, perhaps it is a difference that will become less and less important. It is only a matter of time, and the AI song will be indistinguishable from those created by humans.

Here, the lyrics, with these metrics and kissing rhymes, are entirely generated by AI. This exemplifies what AI-generated lyrics are like. The software can create, potentially, infinite versions of the same song, changing its melody and style (depending on your instructions). The AI does not know if a song that it creates is good or bad. You decide to stop the process when you are satisfied with the result.

So to demonstrate an example of various possibilities, I have combined in a single MP3 file, all 4 versions which I produced. You can download them if you want.
Do you feel like you've heard this song or this singer’s voice on SoundCloud before? Not possible, but you have certainly heard something similar or very similar before.

To not offer a kind of tutorial, I don'I post here all the prompts and instructions given to the software to generate the song. But when you see, among the lyrics published, 'tag' such as [verse], [bridge], [chorus], it is very likely that the music of that song was generated by AI; and often also the lyrics.

Spiritual, yes, perhaps, but in what form? The one dictated by politicians under orders, assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI), then it is certain that it will not be.

The general madness engendered by an organized dehumanization is taking over us like gangrene, a lack of love, peace and respect for all human beings, whoever they may be. It is appalling, dramatic and our end could be terrible if we continue on this path to perdition. It is high time to grow one's Soul and Spirit to put them at the service of the common good of our humanity in all its diversity.

Some even think of imposing a third world war on us to raze everything and start over with another civilization project, but we build nothing good, nothing solid on ashes, even less a utopian project thought up by the powerful financiers, a too beautiful mirror to the larks made of Lies and Betrayal to put, this time again, the human in slavery but in a much more terrifying and virulent way.

The future civilization, because there will be one, will be entirely subject to the despotic regime of an entity formatted by enlightened humans who want to hoist themselves on the pedestal of the Gods, but it is a pious wish cradled in advance by illusions.

Putting humans in slavery of thought, depriving them of all their rights as human citizens will be, in the long term, fateful for them, this has been true since the dawn of humanity.
Once their goal is achieved, if they succeed, it will make them totally slaves of a powerful "Octetic Artificial Intelligence" which, with its acquired free thought, will exterminate them in turn, and yes, there will be no paradise on earth, neither for us and even less for them, that's how it is, unless the people wake up in time 🙂 but it will be to fight against machines... does that remind you of anything? -

 Here I have only posted six songs in English created in collaboration with AI. The rules were: I write the lyrics (with only two exceptions), AI proposes the music to me, after following (if possible) my prompts. In the end I'm the one who chooses. Of course, this is just a bit of fun, the purpose of which is only to use AI to criticise the increasing exploitation of AI in songwriting. It's true: the problems posed by artificial intelligence go far beyond the music's issue (which still has important social and industrial implications). But, if nothing else, we should defend and claim the time and energy we have invested in music.

Hello! I’m a university professor of history who enjoys playing guitar and piano/keyboard, and occasionally composing — unpretentiously, just for fun.
Most of my recordings (made with a KorgD8, Audacity, and more recently Reaper for MIDI and the Spitfire Audio libraries) are entirely homemade and decidedly imperfect.
My music includes old songs (all written back in the last century; here I’ve only shared the ones I’ve reworked in recent years) as well as both old and new instrumentals — usually in several versions, some of which eventually disappear because they’re simply unlistenable.

Thanks for stopping by and giving something a listen; in the description you’ll often find explanatory notes or translations of the lyrics.
Here I’ve discovered a community of talented musicians and songwriters, and plenty of beautiful music to enjoy. Whenever I like, comment, or repost a track, it’s always the result of attentive listening. For the same reason, I’m not interested in trading empty “likes” without real engagement, and I won’t reply to messages from would-be promoters — follower counts don’t matter to me in the slightest.

By popular demand (well, actually just my daughter’s — she insists it’s the “cooler” platform), I’ve finally started putting some of my music on Spotify too...
