Sheshan means "horse behaving". The dance is a fast piece with (4:4) time signature; this particular piece is played differently by pulling the Bellows of the Pshina (accordion) in and out rapidly to create an Off Beat Rhythm which produces a Rhythm two times faster than its time signature, and the word shishan is a Circassian word and it is not linked to Chechen.

Moon River

Our version of Tamlin (or Tam Lin) Reel with my wife, Jennifer, playing the accordion and me accompanying on the guitar.

Tam Lin is probably the best-known of the traditional fairy ballads. Featuring a maid named Janet, the Queen of Elfland, and a handsome hero imprisoned under the Hill.

I enjoy writing and playing my own music. I now also enjoy recording my own songs and publishing them on Soundcloud to share with anyone who cares to listen. Some are also on YouTube.

I also enjoy learning and playing covers, including: The Beatles, The Monkees, The Eagles, Cat Stevens, Elvis, etc.  I play various instruments, but am most comfortable with an acoustic guitar.

My wife also plays various instruments, but is most comfortable with the accordion.  She was a winner at the National Accordion Championships, she has played in an accordion band and done gigs for parties and restaurants.

My wife and I met at Folkmob in Eltham, when it was held at the Tudor Barn. I played a song which I had just written, Sleep Softly, and she invited me to another music club which she was running at the time. We enjoy attending and playing at music clubs and open mic’s and Broadstairs Folk Festival in the August sunshine.
