The fourth edition of our free download series welcomes label artist Brian Cid back to the imprint following his 'Belles Du Shaman EP'. Released in March, the four track offering included a remix from Eagles & Butterflies and reached #1 in Beatport's Electronica and Progressive House charts, while peaking at #4 in their overall Top 100. As a thank you for the amazing support we received on the release Brian has crafted a dark and mystical dance floor journey to give back to the fans. In the words of Brian, "Tempestad which means storm in Spanish, is an energetic cut that explores the deeper side of techno. A somewhat stripped down record that evolves into a heavy groove. A short dramatic story inspired by today’s quick changes, either positive or negative, always drastic, like a storm."

Having launched 2016 with his 'Octavia' EP, Lost & Found boss Guy J returns home to kick start 2017, with a new double-header born out of moments in time, inspiration and a quest for a specific sound. 

"MDQ is named after the airport code of Mar Del Plata in Argentina," says Guy. "I played there with John Digweed earlier this year at MUTE. It's a party on the beach and, for me, was the best I've been to in my life and not just as a DJ." 

MDQ beautifully recreates and projects the warmth of the sun, uplifting vibes and postive energy that Guy felt on the sand that day. Its melodic charm and passionate delivery lifts the listener, transporting them to that most southern of shores. 

Diagonal, on the flip, was born more out of necessity. "I needed something with a transitional feel for my sets. A track that would allow me to segue to the next part, up the tempo and deliver a more groovy and seductive magic." 

Another delicious brace from the Lost & Found boss and a perfect selection to soundtrack the new year.

The story had a way of leading a person to a place they had no idea they wanted to go. 
And how could they? The place did not exist yet. The story was still making itself up.. Weaving together mountains between the mist, and imagining up an orca that could be ridden to collect the mail.

“I have mail?” the girl asked.
“It’s your story, you tell me,” replied the orca.
“I do,” she said. 
“I have been sent all the letters of the alphabet so this story can be anything I want it to be.”
“Thrilling,” he replied.
“That’s just one word,” she said with a wink.

Riding on the summer winds of the Storybook EP, Hoj and Lee Burridge’s Tale and Tone offers its first artist EP of the series for digital release. The EP showcases two mystifying tracks from illusive new artist Cornucopia. Each tune has been proven on some of the world’s finest dance-floors this season, becoming two of the most train-spotted and asked-about tunes from the budding concept label.

Cornucopia’s Letter for Poly brings a fluid lushness to the A-side, a track that’s been consistently driving crowds with the warmth of its impeccable percussion and distinct swing worldwide. Opening with a cosmic weapon, 'Lonely Space' develops into an epic deep progressive journey filled with beautiful synth melody, female vocal, fx and hypnotic pads. Elegant and hypnotic from the first bar to the last. Next up, 'Orbital' digs deep too. Opening with more low end grunt, melodic arps float lift the mood midway before deep warm pads float into earshot. Musically rich and utterly satisfying. Finally, Alex O'Rion concludes the EP with an exquisite remix of 'Lonely Space'. Stronger and more intense, sonic fx and melodic patterns are balanced against the percussive bedrock leaving ample room for the main motifs to grow creating a sense of controlled peril.  '
