Some things in life cannot be measured by numbers or translated into words. Having the privilege to officially remix a track by Hernan Cattaneo is one of them. Among this select group is the Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist BRVNOV, who has just delivered his own interpretation of Love Is Coming Back. The original track, released in February 2023 featuring the Egyptian-Canadian duo Husa & Zeyada, presented Zeyada’s hypnotic vocals — which were preserved and carefully repositioned in this new remix. The remix sets an intrinsically hypnotic mood from the start, guiding the listener through a sensitive and immersive journey. The break, wrapped in melodic pads, creates a moment of absolute trance and seems to suspend time before the drop, which is luminary and expansive. This is BRVNOV’s third release on DOC Records, consolidating not only his place in the label’s catalog but also the trust and respect of Gui Boratto. Ahead of him compiling the second edition of Cr2’s newly revitalised Live & Direct mix series, Lee Walker releases two new EPs. The first package of which is due out in April 7th and features two cuts, ‘Tim Bongconga’ and ‘Ambiguity’. 

The two tracks are part of four unreleased cuts produced exclusively for Live & Direct from this exciting electronic talent. Having released on labels like Hotflush, Defected and Nervus, Lee has had big hits with some of his essential edits, and now garnering support from the likes of Loco Dice and Seth Troxler, as well as headlining gigs everywhere from Creamfields to Space Ibiza to Studio 338. 

The first track on the EP is ‘Tim Bongconga’, a brilliantly tribal house cut with layered up drums and bass, slinky hi hats and an infectious groove that gets right under your skin. Clever fills, filters and whirring synths bring yet more energy and mean this one is sure to stand out in sets for months to come. The second track, ‘Ambiguity’, is deeper and takes its cues from classic New York garage house. It has rubbery kicks, a highly coiled groove and nice dry hits all encouraging you to cut shapes.
