A simple message for the fast approaching Christmas Day, taking the time honored classic tune and adding a few other familiar elements to this folky, upbeat rendition. I want to dedicate this Christmas wish to all my SoundCloud friends but most especially my dear friend and awesome partner in musical crime, Nat Daniels. This one is a solo effort but it goes out to Nat.

This piece was one I was working on with totally different lyrics.  I did the piano piece and then decided to go another direction when I added alternate vocals. It's about a young couple that want another go with their love (or so my wife tells me).

I think of this man as the Frank Sinatra of country music.  What
a voice and such a special gift.  So many wonderful songs and so many were so beautifully orchestrated.  I tried to get a bit of orchestra feel with the limited resources I have.

About time!
The expression “time flies when you are having fun” may be true, but time always runs out in the end!  We can only experience time when our mind is awake and in the present. The present is the point at which we toggle from the past and into the future. So, what does it mean to “live each day as if it were the last” or “live in the present”?  The smallest unit of time every recorded is a zeptosecond, a trillionth of a billionth of a second and looks like this: 0.000 000 000 000 000 000 001.  Soooo, it seems to me that we spend most of our time, in theory, in the past, because everything we have experienced and learned is stored in our mind.  We can imagine and plan for the future but can only remember the past.  Are you confused?  I am!

I'm a keyboardist with a love for layering sounds to create ambient, ethereal atmospheres and composing simple piano pieces to embellish. I love all genres of music, and find myself composing different types depending on my mood of the day.

I’ve never had formal training. As a teen, my parents wouldn’t let a piano in our house in Egypt, so I studied piece-meal at friends’ homes. When I got to college, I learned by going to university piano practice rooms. In my 40’s, I met my birth-mom who turned out to be a child prodigy, winning a Van Cliburn competition by playing Rachmaninoff at age 11. Most of what I play today, I learned from the techniques she taught me. 

I’m an American who has lived abroad for a good part of my life in Egypt, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Taiwan, and now back to Texas.
