Honey Smoked Turkey (disquiet0510)

A sequence of enhanced multiple-channel recordings created with the aid of an elderly laptop which may well be retired in the not too distant future, but not yet. On the other hand, the sounds were made with various pieces of junk destined for the recycling bin.

Closing The Fridge (disquiet0511)

The foundation of this track is a looped field recording from the mouth of the  collapsed ice cave situated on the west side of Hrafntinnusker in Fjallabak. The cave was formed around a number of geothermal vents and is in a constant state of freezing and thawing.

mikey_a is an ambient and soundscape artist living in Melbourne, Australia.
Though now producing mainly in the box with a mix of VST and field recordings he still likes to occasionally crank out some of the physical treasures he's owned since the '80s: a Korg MonoPoly, a Roland TR-606, TB-303, S-10 and D-110 along with a TEAC 3440 reel-to-reel.
He is a frequent contributor to the Naviar Records' Haiku Challenge and Disquiet Junto projects.
