Born in Honduras and based in Chicago, Nestor Arriaga is an electronic music producer and performer crafting sounds that bridge minimal, house, deep, and breakbeat. With roots in modular synthesis and a self-taught approach to production, his music blends technical precision with emotional depth.
Drawing influence from 80s textures, jazz, funk, and classical, Nestor shapes grooves that are both introspective and built for the dancefloor. Inspired by artists like Joris Voorn, Stefano Noferini, and Stephan Bodzin, his sound balances rhythm, melody, and atmosphere in equal measure.

Having performed across the Americas and Europe, Nestor Arriaga is known for immersive, dynamic DJ sets. He’s currently working on several upcoming EPs and developing a hybrid live show that fuses hardware performance with modular synthesis for a truly unique experience.

Minimal Hertz #006 | Nestor Arriaga

Minimal Hertz is a Music Collective and a Music Event focussed on the underground music scene, our aim and mission is for music inclusivity both from behind the decks and on the dance floor. As the music we listen to and the equipment we use to make it develops - we are often left in a predicament and often focus too much on what the name of the style/genre we are listening to or we get stuck in a box of a certain style. 

As a result we aim to have our DJ’s & Artists we work with to curate a journey with no boundaries to the styles of music they select within the dance music scene, (Not to be confused with Open Format) From this approach we hope to have dance floors that are blended in unison motion and that are free to express themselves and DJ sets that are not limited in set durations and set times. 

In the same light of not being limited by boundaries - we do not have a fixed base as the brand is carried by the individuals associated with Minimal Hertz and exists wherever they are in the world. We hope and aim to create intimate events around the world where we feel our energy is best reciprocated. We will have a limited use “phone policy” on our floors in light of allowing people to fully express themselves. 

We hope to work with similar minded artists and venue managers/owners who share the same goal and vision we do.

ARENS es el proyecto de Nikolas Arenas, productor y DJ de Funza, Colombia, radicado en Barcelona. Su sonido explora los territorios del minimal, el microhouse y la electrónica de pista con una narrativa introspectiva y enfocada en la textura.
Su camino en la producción comenzó con su primer EP, "Llindar Sonor", lanzado bajo el sello Bass in the Face. A este le siguieron los sencillos "Ignite" y "Unveil", además del track "Haze", que formó parte de un álbum de aniversario del mismo sello.
Cada paso en la música de ARENS se complementa con una narrativa visual inspirada en la figura del pangolín, buscando siempre la autenticidad y la evolución constante.
