Italian born, Florence-based @matisaxx is injecting a more than efficient trancy and bumping prog house energy into the original, while staying true to its emotional side. A glorious version tailored made for euphoric hands-in-the-air, get-lost-in-the-moment scenes in the clubs.

Paris-born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist @wladimirschall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped-down interpretation.
Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr's reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.

South Korean producer and dj @shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth-driven, Italo inspired remix. Now draped in her signature cosmic sound, Terr vocals are more moving than ever, Curses soothing guitar action are floating all around, all of it invoking the bitter-sweet melancholy of a reflective night ride.

As Critical Monday takes us through the beginning of this cold new year, Matt Pompeo & Snyl open up Chapter XVII with ‘Innocent Silent’, a rather dark & emotional trip backed by dizzy arpeggiators and melodic guitars, before the plaintive but charming voice of ANGST vor GRETA makes an opening.

Following up comes the second original of this stunning release from the two producers. Here, we definitely enter the groovier territory, tainted by hints of psychedelic and melodic synths unravelling as we progress through the track.

On remix duties, Alexey Union closes this EP beautifully by taking ‘Innocent Silence’ to darker and sweatier territories, giving another depth to ANGST vor GRETA’s catchy vocals, and offering us a long and immersive break, releasing the last part of the track into an earthquake of blissfulness.

Berlin-based HOVR’s debut EP on Heimlich Musik is called Holding on and marks the 32nd EP of the label. 

The original mix of the title track is a well-balanced composition of subtle vocals, powerful acid lines and classic drum machines underlined by hypnotic pads. 
Cosmic Cowboy lives up to his name with a good pinch of 80s aesthetic created by dreamy vintage synthesizers. 

Taking the vocals of the original as a foundation Freudenthal’s interpretation of Holding on is an energetic disco banger that can’t go without a distinctive arpeggio bassline.  

By picking up selected elements of the original mix of Holding on and by adding a selection of distorted sounds the second remix contribution by Kalipo rounds up the EP as a whole with an aggressive arrangement influenced by Electroclash.

Introducing a fantastic new release from Rigopolar and Disto Disco - Spaced Out EP. This 5 track collaboration includes two brand new original tracks, as well as three remixes from stellar artists: Phunkadelica, Cabizbajo & Colossio, and Childs. The EP will release on Rigopolar's own label, Tour De Infinite.
Rigopolar a.k.a Manuel Castaneda is a Miami based DJ and producer originally from Mexico. He has released previously on Duro, Nazca and most recently on his very own Tour De Infinite. Through a mixture of italo disco and techno, Rigopolar has crafted his expansive sonic universe. His music is inquisitive, and challenges the listener to dive deep and ask big questions along with him. Where do we come from? Where are we going?
In Spaced Out EP he joins forces with DJ duo Disto Disco. These Mexican party starters know disco inside and out. Their club night Discoteca Seducción has taken them across Mexico and beyond, where they showcase the finest selections of disco, dark disco, italo and indie dance.
The EP begins with Untitiled, a masterful study on the fundamentals of disco. This 8 minute epic track stretches time - stripped back with a focus on perfecting the core elements of irresistible grooves. Expertly crafted instrumentation which give the track a live, organic feel. A groove that grows on you as it repeats, each element digging a little deeper and hooking you a little more until you’re on the ride with them.

The EP is an impressive exploration through indie dance and disco variations, and is certainly not to be missed! Spaced Out EP will release 26th of February, 2024 via Tour De Infinite on all digital and streaming platforms.

Melómana opens the year with a compilation that brings together producers who have marked and defined the musical orientation of the label. Its reference 039 is not only a testimony of long-term work, it is also the announcement of what is to come this year 2024.
The compilation brings together songs by artists such as Panka Panka, Azaria, Yahaira, JGR, Jackwasfaster, Ludviq, Nick Hanzo, Macaulay, Mijo, Pastor in Vegas, Rubinskee, Ademarr, Joseeph. Established talents on the scene, as well as emerging projects, offering an approach as designed for the track as it is for home listening. Altogether, we find fused rhythms and rich soundscapes that lead us to an exploration as fluid as it is captivating. The album offers us a dynamic contrast that shows the versatility of a timeless project, created from talent, meticulousness and sonic coherence.The level of production of these guys is intense but, on the other hand, the care of the sounds they release is at the level of those who do things because they want and with the time they really need. The tracks have strength and jump over the prevailing conventions, knowing how to avoid the most recurrent rawness and darkness, seeking dance but without predictable tricks and without exceeding an understandable level of experimentation suitable for the dance floor.
We could say that each producer summarizes their intentions in this compilation, seeking novelty without losing nostalgia, that they play with the genre but without falling into predictable tricks, nor into the arrogance of those who get wrapped up in a genre or mannerism to demonstrate that They have personality. And this is just the beginning, because this year Melómana is going to bring us many surprises.

Damon Jee's remix of "Stalactites" delivers his trademark full-throttle dance-floor oriented dark disco, elevating the EP to the next level of intensity.
