Bio :
Joe lewandowski grew-up listening to both rock and house music. After years of grinding his teeth as a rock guitarist, he started mixing in New York raves and clubs.
 	Once back in France, Joe followed that promise and got involved in local underground scene: initially with Le Pas-Sage and later with White Label Radio and Madman Regent. Through these events, Joe always stood for creating alternative, open-minded and safe spaces for (re)creation. 
	This commitment is also present in Joe's work as art director of Pamela, an inclusive and alternative club in Paris. Meanwhile, Joe has made a name for himself in the Parisian scene. 

	His sets can veer seamlessly between pumping techno, deep house merged with unexpected treasures. Thanks to his open-ended philosophy, he became one of resident of Garage club and he is now equally invited for raves, festivals and clubs all over the world. 
	When he's not behind a DJ booth, Joe Lewandowski is also a promising and prolific artist. He has released a wide array of music, from disco edits, to house or techno, both on well-established labels like Skylax, Hard Fist, Kitsune or rising ones like AMSEM, with always a distinctive sound signature, rock driven rhythms mixed with psychedelic textures.					 As an accomplished musician, he plays himself all the guitar and bass parts of his tracks and for his live. Recently, Joe has attracted a wider recognition and has been remixed by Lauer, Kasper Bjorke or Shubostar.

BOHO, Ryan Nasty & WATT! have developed a universally loved unique style; consisting of dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fit in any kind of club or festival. Their releases have received high acclaim - with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music. 

To open the release, trio drops the delightful title track 'Delusion'. A track full of driving vibrancy, while the arrangement keeps you moving with the energy on offer. 'Delusion' conveys a club edge with deep stimulated elements, capped off by the trio's fantastic production skills and WATT!'s outstanding vocal work. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The groove and melodies are the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow and creating an air of sophistication. The sole remix of 'Delusion' comes courtesy of none other than Amarcord, who certainly needs no introduction. He created a proper indie dance rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. His driving club touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, while increasing the melancholy with stripped back and expressive components. An outstanding remix from Amarcord who continues his remarkable streak of outstanding releases this year. 'Essential stuff'!

Last but not least BOHO teamed up with Greek producer Petros Odin to drop another indie dance club monster in the shape of 'Averto' to close out the release. Filtered stabs and dynamic drums are the name of the game. The duo navigates us into a drop full of excitement and suspense, all while keeping the energy up, allowing the driving melodic feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. 'Delusion' sees a worldwide release on March 29th, 2024. Another essential release from ICONYC aimed straight at the soul, be ready to dance to it!

Prepare to be transported into a realm of sonic enchantment with the forthcoming release from Berlin's renowned Iptamenos Discos. Boys’ Shorts, the dynamic queer duo hailing from Greece, comprised of Vangelis (formerly of LAGASTA) and London based Tareq, are set to unveil their EP 'Something To Forget’.  

Following their successful ‘New Era’ EP which was on high rotation on Berlin’s RBB Radioeins, and lending their remix skills to Local Suicide on their Eros Anikate album, Boys’ Shorts are yet again back on Iptamenos Discos with ‘Something to Forget’. The duo consists of Vangelis and Tareq who have been friends for over a decade and have had an incredibly successful year, with a string of highly praised releases on Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, HE.SHE.THEY & Pets Recordings, and DJ sets in esteemed venues including London’s E1 and Berlin’s Berghain as well as remixing Alison Goldfrapp and supporting her on tour.  

‘Something To Forget’, the first single and title track starts with a strong kick and a prominent snare which punches through the mix and becomes a driving force which anchors the track. The bouncy and energetic bassline is contrasted with lyrics which are somewhat melancholic, however they are performed in a way that gives them an underlying sense of optimism.  

‘Something To Forget’ is sure to be a revered release by Boys’ Shorts and another exciting addition to the Iptamenos Discos catalogue. The full EP including both remixes will be released on all digital/streaming platforms and 12” vinyl on June 14th, 2024.

French producer Panthera steps up to Melodize with a pair of Italo inspired cuts that come remixed by the legendary Lauer and Endrik Schroeder.

Panthera prefers to remain secretive about his identity, but his music has plenty of people talking. It has come out on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Polaris and Correspondant so far and contains a distinct, synth-heavy, euphoric sound.

This is evident from the beginning with 'Hustle', a colourful and cosmic cut with rich melodies, occasional vocal touches and shimmering arps. They bring sugary rushes of joy to the mid-tempo nu-disco drums and will douse dance floors in subtle euphoria. Remixing this one is the underground stalwart Lauer, who always brings his retro style to his disco and house on labels such as Permanent Vacation and Running Back. His version is faster and more direct, though still packed with starry melodies and subtle synth motifs that bring it to life.

Panthera's 'Western Union' then brings more raw percussion and slapping drums but again takes flight through the cosmos on sleek synth lines with hints of 80s nostalgia. It's a track that is always on the rise and full of bright, irresistible melodic suspense. Remixer Endrik Schroeder also hails from France and is a fast-rising talent with credits on the taste-making Bordello A Parigi, Ritmo Fatale, and Roam Recordings. He flips the original into a more propulsive and urgent nu-disco weapon with crashing drums and synth loops spiralling around the track as extra melodies fall like stardust to light up the groove.
There is real quality as well as plenty of feel-good energy to these four shiny, synth-heavy tracks.

We might even be in the present, if not even the future. Somehow, with one foot still in the 80s.

As our universes collide, it’s hard to tell what is what. Whether you think this is a futuristic take on Eurodance with an 80s twist, Italo Body or Trance, that is totally up to you.
