Electric Bonfire is a Midcoast Maine collaborative project of John Luft and Mitch Markowitz.  The band is backed by Michael Whitehead on bass and Terry La Mar on drums. The band has had occasional guest appearances from drummer Alex Owre, and multi-instrumentalist Bob New.  They play mostly original compositions and spontaneous sonic explorations that dive into heartfelt rhythmic grooves, honoring the traditions of psychedelic and the newer post rock movement. The Extension Chords are a jazz trio comprised of keyboardist Myles Kelley, Bassist Katherine Bowen, and Drummer Owen Markowitz. The three started playing together in late 2017 and have since performed regular at gigs between midcoast Maine and Portland.
