Track notes: "Lucky Link Village" from Creatures_Once/@miraclemiles (via @SinnySounds) jumped out at me straight away and got me thinking about a guitar accompaniment along the lines of Ry Cooder, Haruomi Hosono and Makoto Kubota. I recorded a simple fingerpicked acoustic guitar pattern which found its way around G tonic of the tuned percussion. I then added some slide guitar around this and affected both guitars with some phasing and flanging to give it a dreamy feeling. Then a field recording of the ocean lapping at the shore seemed entirely fitting.

This track is an asynchronous collaboration with @user-807707609 (he_nu_ri) and @mikey_a as part of the Disquiet Junto Project: I was inspired by the wonderful track https://soundcloud.com/mikey_a/both-sides-of-the-river-disquiet0637 created by these two artists and added the sounds in the middle of the stereo field.

I tried to build on this soundtrack of a peaceful flowing river and add some more musical dimensions. A river can be a metaphor for many different things - and I would like to leave it up to the listener to reflect on this image.

I looked in the sheet for something unused and opted for https://soundcloud.com/xhg/disquiet0637-marsh-bones-factory-with-raincat because of the sheer feeling of reality it had to me. I played different instruments but nothing worked for me. So instead I used old samples, a recording of a turnstile on a train track near Munich and a door that creaked wonderfully in the wind near Assisi, Italy. It seemed to me to fit in wonderfully with the duo's palpable spatiality.
