A producer with obsessive compulsive disorder can only mean one thing, it takes love and time for Konstantinos Karatamoglou aka Kostakis to perfect a record. 
However, let it be known that when it comes along it is something at the very least if not your taste, sonically dexterous.
Producers are not destined to work alone, and while focusing on their solo careers, Kostakis and Ryan Murgatroyd, production partner and best friends join forces under a few very successful guises namely Crazy White Boy. 
A Debut 2014 release on Get Physical with Ryan Murgatoyd – Shamandrums gave Kostakis a quick stint in the Beatport charts and support from the likes of Solomun and Adriatique. 
2015 saw their follow up single, ‘Bargain Bin’, enter the charts and stand firm in the top 100 Deep House for weeks. Keeping the momentum through 2016 an epic remix for TMA and third single with Murgatroyd “Down Dog” solidified Kostakis’ string of epic chart toppers with another huge underground club record. 
Kostakis then started a new project, “Strange Loving” a three piece Tech House act comprising of himself, Ronald Rowley and Dakin Auret that quickly launched onto the scene and delivered some epic records with their debut remix on German powerhouse Katermukke getting a 5/5 from Pete Tong himself. 
Strange Loving continued some epic success with releases on Universal Records and Sony Music.
Still taking the reigns as head producer of Strange Loving, working on the Crazy White Boy project and DJing nonstop under both well-developed brands, Kostakis begun releasing his Solo material first up a rework of the classic record “Sweet Lullaby” by Deep Forest. 
Sweet Lullaby dominated the Beatport Charts yet again and received the ultimate accolade of finding its way into Solomun's epic DJset on the coastline of Israel's renound Nitzanim Beach.
A remix on Poesie musik for Ukrainian artist Cherry selected as BEST NEW PROGRESSIVE HOUSE on Beatport gave Kostakis his last little kicker to end 2018 and give him the confidence to keep on pushing his solo career.

Enter 2019:Kostakis starts the year off on a more experimental tip remixing South African artist “Bantwanas” record “Ngoma” gaining early support from Roger Sanchez, Animal Trainer, Ben Pearce, Eli and Fur and White Square.

The release schedule for 2019 will see a host of new remixes and originals on labels Chapter 24, Katermukke, Bantwanas Kollektiv, Get Physical and Swoon.

Lastly there is a rumour of an album dropping…..

The first V.A. sampler from Hyenah’s Watergate 27 mix is ready.

The DJ/producer is a renowned tastemaker, passionate about sounds from across the house spectrum. For his addition to the Watergate mix canon, he selects an inspiring range of artists, while highlighting emerging African and Afro Deutsch talent.

Amongst the exclusive collection of tracks is Kollektive Turmstrasse’s spiralling deep melodic makeover of Adana Twin ‘Jupiter’, while Sabb & Black Circle’s ‘Vega’ brings the uplifting piano house vibes. RISE crew member JAMIIE links with Stil Vor Talent associate Niko Schwind for ‘Suwedi’, a fascinating seven-minute trip that builds drama and intrigue in equal parts thanks to the soaring string break in the break. Emmanuel Satie collaborates with vocalist Nanghiti for ‘Forever More’ a startling track that will take your breath away, as delicate pads and strings amplify the emotion from Nanghiti’s unforgettable vocal. 

The ever-reliable Sascha Braemer delivers a pearl of a track with ‘No Way’, one of those cuts made for end-of-night moments, resplendent with tear-jerker vox. Rising South African artist Da Capo contributes one of those stirring, string-laden melodic house compositions that every DJ needs. Complimenting the emotion-charged energy of the sampler, Soweto’s Fka Mash has crafted ‘Hazel’, a beautiful chord-driven addition, that still packs plenty of low-end chunk with its percussion.

MBR413 trails the watercourse choreographed by Italy-born and Melbourne-based
DJ/Producer, Leo Guardo and narrated by three eloquent African vocalists. Interfusing
innovative techno elements with deep house soulfulness and tribal groove, Big Fish ruptures
into turbulent waters, basking in the invigorating currents of sonic tides. On A-Side,
Bayamememza starts off with an inquisitive build up, growing more tense as coarse percussion
amass friction. Outpouring grief and empathy into a poignant aria, Tabia’s heartfelt invocation
peals aloft tribal elements, grasping on to the groundedness of house and casting hope in
euphoric melodies. A winsome bassline rolling through subtle inclines and climaxes cradles
Andiswa’s soul-riveting vocals in Sebenza. Compelling lyrics that express the value of
perseverance are the force stretching the 6:58 minute track taut, upending the pendulum of
triumphs and setbacks through ethnic soundscapes and synthetic swells. Wrapping up the
saga, Adile Mbili expels gut-felt exhilaration in an homage to the goddess of fertility and the rain
ritual in her honor. Softening nuanced percussion with tender piano notes, Wenomkhubulwane
gently rides on earthy instrumentals, locking place in locomotive groove. But it doesn’t think
twice, hopping on euphoric harmonies at the right chords up, to escalate into sublime
dimensions.

Ringing in the new year, MoBlack Records takes its listeners on a sonic sojourn with a 10-piece
compilation by various up and coming artists from all across the globe. Composed during
unprecedented times, this eclectic mix of forward-thinking, present-focused tracks traverse not
only the vague barriers of an interconnected and equally isolated digital world, but also gray
areas within genres and subgenres that make music feel more intuitive and in the moment.
Parisian artist Notre Dame starts off the Mo’Vibes collection with his vibrant love-charged ode
’Kaneba’, followed by Swiss duo Animal Trainer cruising the humid rhythm of clear turquoise
waters and virulent currents in the ‘Verzasca’. South Africa’s Candy Man takes ‘Two Steps to
Samburu’, drenched in solar elements, in perfect complement to Spanish artist Miganova’s
pursuit of dreamy melodies in ‘Illusion’. Infusing a bit of Brooklyn, Berlin and his Benin roots,
Ameme jolts deep fetching, energies in ‘Ewe’, as Dutch artist LevyM keeps the momentum with
his sultry Movement-inducing contribution MBR415 just before Kiev’s Stas Drive lets the law of
motion sink in, afflicting the vestibular nerve with a sense of giddiness, ‘Vertigo’. Winding down
MoBlack’s first release of 2021, Francisco Garcia lets music speak with ethereal vibes in
‘Talking Without Words,’ and no 2020 VA compilation is quite complete without catching the
tense beat of ‘Lockdown,’ which Mexico’s Jömiêl captures candidly. At the tenth spot, Stix the
Artist lands us back right at home, or ‘Gau Lapeng’ in Southern Sotho, with a pulsating dance
that shrugs off a bit of the old, to vibe in the new. Just in time, Mo’Vibes sets the year off to a
good start.

Everything Counts takes us on a deep-seated journey to the western coast of Africa. The coastal village
of Mbodiene is at the core and fora of this picturesque three-part series, started off by the Swiss duo’s
original mix. Half Toshka, half Chris Leon, Everything Counts render quixotic soundscapes, combining
Afro-infused rhythms, earthy percussion and tribal soul into electronic ambience, by grace of melody.
Calabria’s Matt Sawyers joins us and his longtime friends with a reinterpretation of Mbodiene. Teeming
with ethnic dreaminess and soothing progressions, Matteo Cacciola’s mix is a halcyon escape to indulge
our sonic reveries. Yielding a brusque, fiery take on the original, Mozambique’s Double Drop wraps up
MBR418 with a rawer Mbodiene - warm, impassioned and rooted in the rich, resonant grounding of our
mother continent. In this 20:54 minute flight, we dance our way to the destination, and alas, we can just
keep going there.
