In 2002 Manlio started his foray into music and fronted hardcore Crossover band " No Strings" having a strong interest in crossover rock. 
After also fronting bands such as "Linea 77" and Indie Rock band Marlene Kuntz, Manlio discovered the world of Electronic / House & Techno through Dj Pra - Riccardo Gnani - and received his first sampler and systhesiser. From this they struck up a strong friendship and started creating beats together.
In 2007 Manlio moved from Sardinia to London. 
After co-gigging at Purple Turtle in 2008, Manlio met Robbie Pinna aka Pinnetto and Jerome aka Thelonious Cool where they struck up a musical collaboration and Elephant 12 was born. 
2009 - 2013 saw Elephant 12 receive a cult following. They headlined events such as ‘BBC Introducing’, which propelled the group and their first EP, "Elephant 12" under label  I BLAME THE PARENTS", was sold out. 
Videos for ‘Diet Coke’, ‘Money Talks’ and ‘Holiday’ between 2011 and 2012 kept the band busy and helped the band to open for "Senser" and "The Mystery Jets" and a small tour in Spain.
During this time, Manlio received his Diploma in Sound Production and Music Technology and stepped away from Elephant 12 to work with emerging artists, as a producer, in his home country of Sardinia.
In 2014 Manlio immersed himself in the familiar, eclectic background he was brought up in to collaborate and produce tracks with skilled musicians. This allowed him to fuse his Electronic, House beats with artists.
His most recent collaboration was with Jazz singer Franca Masu who is a prime representative of the Catalan heritage.
After being inspired by such colourful and varied artists, Manlio decided to create ‘Independent Rail Records’ – a music production company that allows him to work with the most eclectic sounds and most talented and underappreciated artists out there.

Burgeoning UK talents No Rules are increasing in notoriety at a seemingly exponential rate. The duo (born in Rome, Italy) has an interesting logistical story - which has played a pivotal role in their unique and definitive sonic palate.
 
Their sound is heavily inspired by Italian Funk and Hip-Hop, as well as the obvious underground dance flavours that roar throughout their compositions. Simply put, iconic cultural twang infused with loosely-swung 4/4 grooves and rumbling low-frequency characteristics - made more charismatic with offbeat flair and creativity. No Rules champions the ability to beat that all too easy trap of stagnated, repetitious dance music - by improvising their productions into fruition and not following any form of a preset template.
 
No Rules’ identifiable and unparalleled musical persona has already garnered the attention of several high-profile labels and artists. Their work can be found on some of the most respected imprints in underground electronic music including e1even Records, Ladeep, YAYA Records, Weirdtracx, Whoyostro and Jamie Jones’ seminal Hottrax label among others. A flurry of well-received releases has seen the duo supported by the likes of Jamie Jones, Lauren Lo Sung, Pawsa, Diego Krause, Chris Stussy, Toman, Luuk van Dijk and many more.
 
Building on their impressive production reputation, No Rules are now nurturing their growing presence in clubland - with bookings now coming in an ever-increasing volume, understandably. With a performance archive featuring several club spaces in Norwich, Hull and London, the duo has already had the privilege of supporting Dimmish, Burnski, Clive Henry, Diego Krause, James Dexter and Toman, to name but a few.
 
A definite fixture to pinpoint for the coming months and years, No Rules’ exciting release and performance pipeline make them a promising prospect that will no doubt make their way to the forefront of the scene in the not too distant future. If you’re looking for a standout artistic reference that will make a distinguished impact on the industry, No Rules just could be the answer we have all been searching for.

Andy Caruso is a singer, DJ and producer born in Rome, Italy, and based in Hackney (London, UK). His DJ career kickstarted in 2019 thanks to his show, Morning Pipes, on Threads Radio - an independent radio station in North London. He’s a fan of both old-school and contemporary grooves, with a specific focus on Disco Funk, Electro House and Nu-Disco. Andy’s style of DJing is quite unique, fusing disco, house, deep house, balearic and funk while improvising melodies on the mic with his soulful voice. As a DJ he’s quickly gaining recognition within the music industry, having already shared the stage with industry’s greats such as Felipe Gordon, Laurence Guy, Gome, Soos, Wallace and Rubinskee. His first single "Did you see my baby?“ went out independently on 28/10/2022 and was released again for Super Spicy Records on 28/4/2023. The track's ironic lyrics are inspired by the Italian disco icon Pino D'Angiò. In 2023 comes back with "Lily", as his debut for MB Disco. The tune is an uplifting Disco winner, featuring his stunning voice timbre in the verses and melodic adlibs on the chorus.   Lily is a funloving song, where Caruso’s powerful vocals are backed by a funky bassline and classy keys.
