NX Records is a record label, radio station and interdisciplinary workspace housed in the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London.

The label was founded as a collaboration between Goldsmiths and Matthew Herbert's ever-experimental Accidental Records. In May 2013, we launched with an introductory mixtape and live performances at the Southbank Centre.

The label has continued to grow, releasing critically acclaimed music by Goldsmiths students and graduates, whilst hosting numerous workshops, events, and running a pop up record shop in New Cross.

NX has been managed by London artist, DJ and writer Richard Greenan, since 2018. In 2024, Accidental stepped aside from their NX duties, and Richard's own record label and NTS Radio show, Kit Records, began running NX in collaboration with Goldsmiths. 

The label's mission statement is to create a new model for the music industry, connecting exciting talent from the renowned creative hub of Goldsmiths – and the wider community of South East London – with the forward-thinking and collaborative Kit Records.

Our aim is to build connections between emerging artists, education, the industry and audiences. NX is a professional label that works alongside, not in opposition with, DIY artists.

Bat and Ball present their debut album, Genuine Skin.

A thematic encapsulation of the intimate musings upon which Abi Sinclair, Chris Sinclair and Harri Chambers have made their name so far. The 12-track collection sees the London-based three piece tread the line between tongue-in-check and heart-on-sleeve in their frank assessment of feminism, gender, love and self-worth.

The LP is wrought with emotive subversion. From the exploration of self-esteem and disillusionment within ‘Fortune’ and ‘Worth’, to the narcissism and objectification laced into ‘All The Sugar’ and ‘Be Mine’, Bat & Ball weave both wistful fantasy and stark reality into a refreshingly complex narrative.

All tracks recorded and mastered by Moshik Kop at NXNE Studios, London.

Ballerino aka Robin Paul Braum is an electronic producer and singer born in Berlin and living in London. Using technology to slip into new roles and personas, he creates multifaceted and playful layers within and between his songs. After a live premiere at Germany's Fusion Festival he released his first EP "Amateurs" via South-East London collective label squareglass in November 2014 followed by double-single "Love / Concentrate" in the summer of 2015.

In early 2020, friends and fellow DJs Osian and Rory ditched their first names to form Hooson and Johnson. Equipped with a bass guitar, drum machine, and a curious spanner-magnet-piezo contraption, the duo set about honing their Balearic-tinged sound in studios across South East London. With groove at its heart, their texture-rich electronica weaves intricate drums and spacious synths with sparse vocals for a fresh take on a classic sound.

The label focuses on emerging artists from South East London and beyond, having released original works and remixes by artists including Athlete Whippet, Semi Precious, Le Son, Olugbenga, Ross From Friends, Baltra, Max Graef and Seb Wildblood.
