Zaatar returns with The Sound of Z, a four-track EP that captures her dark, high-impact vision of electronic music. At its core, the project explores her main artistic pursuit: blending EBM and post-punk aesthetics into club music—finding new ways to merge raw emotion with dancefloor energy.
The EP features two standout collaborations: hypnotic techno DJ VBK, and Kalyug Citizen, a former metal vocalist whose voice brings raw power to "We Tried". Zaatar also uses her own voice across the EP, adding spoken word, screams, and textured layers that deepen the atmosphere.
The Sound of Z is a fierce, personal statement—bridging underground influences and contemporary electronic production.

Terence Fixmer Reissues Two Cult Techno Anthems on Red 10" Vinyl and Digital.

Techno pioneer Terence Fixmer re-releases two of his most iconic tracks — Electrostatic and Electric Vision — now remastered for a more contemporary and powerful sound, and pressed on a limited edition 10” red vinyl. 

Originally released on Gigolo Records in the late '90s and early 2000s, both tracks quickly became underground anthems. Played by legendary DJs such as Dave Clarke, Sven Väth, and many others, they were also named Tracks of the Year by renowned techno publications like Groove magazine. 

With these two groundbreaking cuts, Terence Fixmer helped open a bold new chapter in the history of techno — giving birth to Techno Body Music (TBM), a genre blending the raw, industrial force of EBM with the driving energy of techno. Electrostatic, in particular, is considered a foundational track of this hybrid style. 

Now regarded as true techno classics, Electrostatic and Electric Vision have stood the test of time and are still played regularly by DJs worldwide, continuing to energize dancefloors decades after their release. 

This is the first official repress in over 20 years, and the first time these two cult tracks appear together on one record — sharper, louder, and more essential than ever.

Berlin-based synth-wave supergroup Dina Summer unveil a powerful new rework of "No More Tears" from their sophomore album Girls Gang. Handled by veteran Spanish DJ and producer JG Outsider, the remix injects the track with a raw industrial edge, amplifying its core themes of empowerment and resilience.

Dark, dystopian textures and echoing vocal repetitions draw the listener deeper into the emotional weight of the original, offering a gripping reinterpretation that stays true to Dina Summer’s signature sound while pushing it into darker territory.

It commands the floor with a cursed, pulsating bassline that feels physically invasive, over which frenetic and vibrant synth work spirals into chaos with a precision that is both terrifying and exhilarating. It is a flawless, high-octane highlight that perfectly distills the raw, relentless energy of the entire collection.

R$N Recs sub-label, Insult to Injury, are over the moon to welcome two heavyweight heroes of the underground scene, Messrs Antoni Maiovvi and Hyetal, under their new collaborative moniker, Votives. In an alchemy that blurs the boundaries between dystopian EBM, raw Electro and the UK’s lineage of bass driven dance music, their creative collision has crystallised into this banger of an EP.

Individually recognised as outsider innovators in their respective fields, the pair have converged to unleash a self titled record that stands as a testament to their shared reverence for vintage synths and drum machines, alongside futuristic digital sound design and experimental processing.

Working between London and New England, USA, the duo have bridged the physical gap, concocting a distinct sound that retains traces of the musical soil of Bristol, where they originally met, and merges retro-futurism with the cutting edge.

First single, Possessor, sets the scene - warm, cinematic analogue textures underpin the mechanical pummelling of the relentless rhythm section. Imagine Vangelis working on a Detroit assembly line in the 80s and you’re halfway to realising the joyous industrial glee of Votives.

Fruits is the second EP precursor, dropping in early September. More fabricated, atonal clangs and whooshes assault the senses, before the idiosyncratic thwack of the Votives kick thumps you over the noggin, demanding that you twist and contort your torso in-time. Electronic Body Music, indeed.

Lastly, EP focus track Plexor is a masterclass in tension. Emerging and slowly building from a ominous atmosphere, the boys layer instrument after instrument, constructing an understated mammoth of a track that is going to be a staple of many a dark, sweaty, late night dance floor.

12H is a two hours long summa of the very best material produced for the eponymous sound installation, specifically designed by Donato for the Music Bridge - Armando Trovajoli in Rome under the curation of MAXXI Director Bartolomeo Pietromarchi. The original piece translated in music the architecture of the bridge and its surrounding life, layering samples and field recordings in the language Donato knows best: the repetition, rhythm and harmony of different building blocks. The work was originally reproduced by 12 speakers spread along the bridge colonnade, escorting the visitor through different musical places in their crossing. It now takes its final stereo form in this continuous mix version: a dense, enthralling flow akin to Tiber’s murky waters. The original installation was set up by sound engineer Giuseppe Tillieci / Neel, a frequent collaborator of Dozzy in the “Voices from the Lake” project, with Funktion One support.

« Similar to a whale skeleton beached on Tiber’s banks, the Music Bridge connects two parts of the city that had been ignoring one another for centuries. On one side the slopes of Mount Mario dominate the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) sports fields where many masterpieces of Italian modernist architecture were built: Moretti’s Fencing Academy, the Youth Hostel, the Olympic Pool and later on the Tennis Stadium and the Stadio Olimpico. On the other side there is Quartiere Flaminio, with its theatre, contemporary art museum MAXXI and Renzo Piano auditorium. Donato Dozzy has converged sport and music in his sound installation for the Music Bridge, recounting the story of the two universes connected there. The work, originally presented in a 12 hours format, was a day-long journey through environmental sounds and Donato’s own melodies. In the new-found synthesis we present today we experience once again time and Tiber flowing together, from the crack of dawn until nightfall artificial lights. »

Few DJs and producers are as widely and universally acclaimed in techno circles as Italian Donato Dozzy. He has a rare ability to work his way into peoples’ minds in both contemporary and classical settings, conjuring real mood and atmosphere. Never one to pay heed to the zeitgeist, he prefers to deal in hypnotic soundscapes that really take you on a trip.

Enigmatic as he is, and laidback as he seems, as an artist he is constantly unveiling new work. Displaying a large variation in terms of sound and method across many new releases each year — some of which come on his co-owned label Spazio Disponibile — he also puts out installations for public spaces and museums, uses obscure musical instruments, collaborates with likeminded producers, classical singers or visual artists. Donato seems to continuously challenge himself on a creative level: whatever method he uses, though, he is always likely to permeate your cerebral cortex and rewire it in fascinating and compelling new ways.
