A quiet chill jazz fusion atmosphere perhaps NuJazz with minimal percussion but a throbbing beat and electro, including one synth — a marimba sounding arp like a ticking clock — that I use in this  composition and a few new songs such as Hidden Room. With respect to H.G.Wells, I daresay that the brain, and more expansively, the mind is the best time machine of the cosmos. In fact, it created the idea of a time machine and discovered the physics that can someday engineer a time travel device. Time itself is a construct or an invention of the mind.

Our minds as time machines can instantly travel to the past — retrieving data about history and the physical world, and experiences from memory as if they happened today. Our minds can also zoom out to the future — conjuring a vision of how the world could look as a mental rehearsal, a daydream, a thought experiment, and a creative process for solving problems and making art. Or building time machines. 

We, humans, may be physically limited but our minds are not. And that gives me hope, even in the midst of chaos.

Fuck money... Do what you love and change your world by creating whatever that love is. That's more valuable to you as a person no matter what your bank balance reads. Fact. Timed right you should also gain affluence from that love early in life too if you stick at it. Just believe it and do it and you will get what you endeavour for. You are a mirror. People won't understand your light and love and when that happens just tilt direction to find people that do and you can amplify that together. This is particularly important to understand before you enter deep romantic relationships. Ideally the person you end up with should reflect your good side and visa versa. You'll find more daily peace seeking that out and ultimately being comfortable in your own skin not in a relationship until you do. You may never find that life partner and that's ok too. It's your world not someone else's so make it a better world for yourself and the people you effect everyday. Remember this... Whatever negative you absorbed as kids from me and your amazing Mum is not you and it's not your fault. This is just a challenge we all face and again being aware of this young will help you deal with those demons sensibly. Focus on our positive sides which are both amazing and whilst becoming yourself and becoming better versions of us, just remember nobody is perfect and it's all too easy to seek out that negative energy you never transcended in your youth if you're not aware to release it and be at one with it. Once we all do that then Earth will be one big giant planetary festival. Bring it on

Echoes of the Mind

This is actually the third version of the song. I felt the original idea I’d roughed out with the keyboard and computer could be more interesting. So I reworked the whole track again (twice) adding several ‘hooks’. These were some vocal ‘stabs’, some keyboard/synth riffs as well as writing ( what I hope ) is a more interesting bass line. I beefed up the drum section too. I hope the fun I had creating it is reflected in the overall vibe of the track. Having said all this, the question is: did it actually work?

I just redid the mix and fixed the drums, and some of the more glaring vocal problems, and got that cool guitar lead to shine a little. It sounds a lot better now.
