Voices Behind The Mirror

The guitar player and composer, Mohammad Azmand, was born in 1987 in Tehran. He started  Rock music learning when he was twelve years old. Some years later, he got familiar with Iranian regions music and did his best to comprehend and learn it. Meanwhile, through studying painting in an art school, he had the opportunity to gain a better perception of art. After graduation from the art school, he began learning Jazz music and in 2008, he won the first prize in the First National Jazz music competition which was held in Iranian Artists' House. He has performed a number of concerts with several bands in and out of Iran and In recent years with his own Quartet he has been trying to find the common features of Iranian and Jazz music in order to bridge the gap between these two and come up with a unique tune.
