„Das erste Mal habe ich diese Stimme an einem magischen Abend im Sommer 2015 gehört“, verrät @elias-dore über die Nummer „Pesa“, die er auf dem Fusion-Floor der Bachstelzen im Liveset von @rampue gehört hat. „Der Song hat mich dort komplett umgehauen und nicht mehr losgelassen.“ Nach langem Suchen fand er irgendwann endlich die Track-ID des Originals. „Aber aufgrund von viel Arbeit im nächsten Jahr sollte es dann noch ziemlich lange dauern, bis ich die Zeit hatte, mich selber an einem Edit zu versuchen."      Following two acclaimed releases from Wold and Bercana, emerging duo Monality are releasing their third EP. "Bad Time Stories" from the mysterious and fresh label Ladino Romance; accompanied by remixes from talentead German producer Timboletti and Turkish synthwave outfit Mindshifter.

The original mix comes with a clean and strong iteration of deep tech vibes. Blending ethnical instruments into the mix, Monality uses Baglama (Turkish Saz) for the first time in their productions. The deserty echo of the track also carries a trippy psychedelic feeling. With its strong kicks and deep production, Bad Time Stories original mix is a definite candidate to be a dance hit

Timboletti's relatively dubby and atmospheric touch creates an alternative and multicolored atmosphere that uses the full tracks full potential energy and like the original is a dj friendly track. Turkish act Mind Shifter add an upside down touch turning the track into a synthwave tune with the synths/pad textures and the Dave Gahanesque treatment of the vocal.

The original mix adds an alternative approach to deep tech norms with its ethnic elements and two unique remixes from Timboletti and Mindshifter, Monality's third EP "Bad Time Stories" out from Ladino Romance.

This whole EP is dedicated to Asterios Christaras, who passed away earlier this year, he was really good friend of DJ Dest who recorded main song of this EP ''Mihrap'' together with Khaikhan in Khaikhan's studio @ Istanbul, Turkey - in a memory of Asterios, ''Mihrap'' means Altar in turkish language, and artists from all around the world gathered to make their offering with their music to the ALTAR which was made in memory of Asterios.

After a three year period of artistic incubation and reinvention, Mercan Dede returns to the music sphere with the inaugural video release on Halaken Records, 'Kapadokya'. From sunrise to sunset on the 25th of May 2018, Dede soared above the majestic ancient landscape of Cappadoccia playing an intimate set between him, the pilot, the clouds and the purveying spirits. With his modern electronics powered by a compact generator, he performed his multi instrumental set cradled by woven wicker, suspended by hot air and propelled by nothing more than the morning draft. At the journey’s end, he touched back down to join a crowd of enthused locals at Cappadox Festival and close the night with a 3 hour DJ performance.

Making use of contemporary technology blended with traditional instruments from a variety of cultures, the release pulls both the landscape and sounds into an ageless work of art. The haunting vocals of Bryce Lamar float a top a rich symphony of strings while classic Turkish gypsy percussions engage in conversation with warm analog synths and electronic sound design. Signature to his music, the Ney elevates the music to another level, singing a powerfully mysterious melody to bring the song to climax.
