This is lovely and very clever Karen. I love the way you use the time signature to conjure up a jazzy feel. Absolutely top quality work from you and great to hear a new one from you 😀

I really like the cabaret/show tunes feel here -- it calls Laura Groves, Kate Bush & Tori Amos to mind.  The 12/8 keeps it bouncing & light even with a serious tone. The arrangement & production are excellent-- the panning of the subtle parts keeps them subtle but ear grabbing.  Nice work!

The old man deserves an extra pint of Guinness for his excellent bass work. My treat, Ill owe ya! Fantastic lyrics. Love the gentle dynamic climb and subtle widening of the panning, bloody marvellous they are. There are so many fab synth counter melodies that add the extra depth as and when needed. The last chorus synth strings being a prime example. And the whistle always delivers that haunting vibe. Wonderfully moving harmonies. Finally, this, imo, is one of your finest vocals. Your voice sounds gorgeous. I feel like youve been holding this in for quite some time and let it all go. The passion, drowning, treading the audio water. Delete, re-record, start again, its all been so worth the hard work cause I can feel everything. Brilliant.

This is my remix of a track from @archmageband2 called Workplace Challenges. It's my first time working with Rob Ulysses (@rob-ulysses) and Masha Solo (@masha-solo).

I built on the theme and concept that they had developed, but took this mix in a slightly different direction compared with their original piece which I hope you will be interested to also check out:

This song began with Terry sharing an intriguing Eastern sounding synth and minimal beat with Ken, who added a really solid beat to bring out the strong rhythm of the song. Once they had a solid foundation and skeleton, they shared it with the rest of the Eclectic Collective. Josh added his five string fretless bass in a dubby line that was inspired by Tez's hot skank part.  Stephen came up with the shocking dynamic lift towards the end, and Tez piled on to light it up. Then MD got a hold of it and wrote and sang some of his trademark, fun lyrics and vocals in the first part of the song. Ken, not to be left out of the melodic experience, added the vocals at the end. 
  After we all had everything in the can, the Texas Tea combo of Stephen and Terry produced and mixed the whole thing down. This wasn't their first rodeo mixing a project together, and it really shows in the end quality. They also have several duo projects up on both of their pages that are worth checking out.  
  We think the end result is reminiscent of Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation, two big influences on a few of us. We all hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Coherent Fire - The Eclectic Collective with Tea R. Sea and The Mysterious Decibel

Nat wrote this beautiful song some time ago inspired by some of the greatest love stories of the world, including her own, and we have slowly worked on a properly produced final version where she will sing the lead. But inspired by the song myself, I decided to record my own simplified version just as a “Voice Memo” on my i-phone. Nat loved it and it hung around as we continued to look toward the piano based version with Nat’s lead vocal. But with Valentine’s Day nearly upon us and little time to make a major production effort, she decided to sing along to my rough, live recording and this is what we have to offer. The bigger version will follow but, for now, we wish all who aspire to love, a very Happy Valentine’s Day 2024!
