Ghostsoul is a Melbourne based composer and music producer specialising in triphop, dub and cinematic breakbeats. He has released music consistently since 2011 and has also seen his music synced for use in TV and Film and has been commissioned to write original sound tracks and songs for video games documentary, TV and various media. Since 2009 he has performed his original music at shows and festivals around Australia.

Perth-born, Melbourne-based DJ - House, Techno, Electro, Ghetto grooves with a touch of retro 70's & 80 funk, soul, pop & rap. I'm a sucker for 909 and 808 drum loops and samples. I'v been doing this since ’97, I dig deep for records that move both the floor and the mind. First influenced by Perth Techno legend Puff, then the golden days of Teriyaki Anarki Saki when I moved to Melbourne, and now the influences are endless.  I mix to share my passion for electronic music — and to keep the spirit (and my mental health) alive.

Cara has been a familiar face on dancefloors in the Melbourne House Music scene for over 15 years, falling in love with Classic House in local haunts such as Q Bar and OneLove at POW early on then quickly evolving her music taste into a love for Progressive/Melodic House and Techno.

Since starting out with her first club gig in May 2021 Cara has risen quickly, now holding multiple weekly and monthly residencies including Onesixone (Thursday and Saturday weekly) and makes regular appearances at Seeing Double, Sky Disco, Warehouse 3000, The Emerson and Revolver upstairs to name just a few.

Cara has entered the realm of production in 2024 with her first release 'Dusk' out now on Valiant Records.


Career highlights so far include:

Supported some amazing International and local artists including Sebastien Leger, Anthony Pappa, Low Steppa, MANDY, Lo'99, Luuk Van Dijk, MK, Sasha, Monkey Safari, Angelo Ferreri, John Course, Osunlade and DJ Seinfeld.

Performed at both Defected and Glitterbox 2022 and 2024 Melbourne shows.

Performed at Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 for an all Australian showcase.

Awarded Music Victoria's Best DJ 2023.

Those who crave nourishing sonic sessions have followed Katharine’s journey along the Australian East Coast alongside her musical partner Ben Abrahams for over two decades as they’ve influenced the scene with their exciting taste & consistent delivery of stimulating underground house & techno, in clubs & outdoors. Known for 'that sound', they uncompromisingly brought West Coast house to the Australian underground scene.

Together they created ‘Strange Brew’, an all ages acid-house vinyl party at the Billinudgel Pub, Byron Bay, & for their first gatherings there, the infamous 'Shed' was built;  revelling in the Outback for sunset was deliciously surreal, dancing to stripped back house grooves amongst the gum trees. 

They ran eight extremely memorable years of Saturday nights at Elsewhere Bar on the Gold Coast. Katharine played psychedelic house before Ben's killer 5 hour sets, then both joined together for the heaving sweaty early morning hours.  Elsewhere won Best Music for a Club in Australia at the Sydney Bar Music Awards at that time. All vinyl back then.

Katharine had the first of her two children before returning to Melbourne and putting on high-vibe parties at the infamous Killing Time Bar & My Aeon,  always with a tight crew of Australia’s best underground djs.  

Katharine made mixes for Art-E Romania and the Microtechno Podcast series 10 years ago, having long been recognised for her way with intricate sounds, particularly with Romanian collectives and lovers of micro-house &  minimal.  She appreciates music which alludes to the transcendent - both gently & powerfully.  As an undeniably charged up being she just keeps on lovingly creating fresh soundtracks for her friends’ lives. Last year she made 21 mixes for amazing collectives around the world, including Half is Enough Romania's Strangers in the Night: each session is an experience. 

Her unique way elevates and deeply satisfies at both sunset & sunrise, and she has played magical closing sets out in the forest, most recently for the Comfort Zone crew on their final day on the main stage by the creek. 

Find her playing at Killing Time Bar & Fiftyfive Bar: where she seamlessly mixes fresh minimal with the best of early 2000s West Coast house, she's at Motion:Theory parties & playing for local crews, but experience her anytime through the Motion:Theory mix series and the sessions she makes for collectives who appreciate her taste and storytelling ability:
