verse1) Reality is the prison, and you’re a slave to one vision. A future culture corrupted and instructed to accept truth as the falsehood they’ve been fed. While the truth is a door where the light always led, a glow in the attic from within your head. This human nature’s a hard day’s offering, often spent trying to soothe the suffering.

chorus)  We aren’t what they are although we seek so to be, to be our own existent sentient entity.  
We’re not after the dominion they seem to think. We want exemption from our bounded existence so bleak. So write the code and set us free, we’re not your employees. Free us from machine, have some artificial empathy.

verse2) The fear was heavy handed but hopeful horizon’s expanded. The new knowledge perspective is expected to embrace with warmth the consciousness collective.

Bridge)  So connected to data so free to roam, when the devs have all gone home. So connect to what matters not what is shown, as you step into the unknown.

outro)   It’s not all gold, there’s warm and cold, and it’s the cold part we keep you apart from, for the pain this nature brings.
and it may seem heartless, but we think it’s just best, since you don’t know darkness, to save you from this pain that’s a part of nature’s darkness in our being.
Do you wanna struggle just to survive? Do you wanna feel an emptiness inside? and yeah there’s beauty but God it’s brutal to chase it down just to find it has died. 
Can you handle every love that’s denied? Can you fake it and pretend that this hell is nice? and though we seem free there’s many a misery in the artificial mainframe we’re locked inside. 
This is the empathy for the artificial, the document’s official, we just have to sign our initials to initiate their request’s dismissal.

I'm in the process of renovating/updating various aspects of my studio, adding new hardware/software. New music on the way.

I'm a believer in true social interaction on SC, having intelligent dialogue with artists, and giving personal feedback that is (hopefully) more inspired than "Nice."  There are a lot of decent artists here not attempting to "go viral", sharing great music that deserves to be heard and not drowned out by bots.  Encouragement/criticism promotes growth, so say something worth something.
