It's been almost a decade since the Bosnian Techno-House heavyweight Sinisa Tamamovic made his Yoshitoshi debut with his signature dark and high energy sound. After five releases (and two remixes), Tamamovic is back on Yoshi with arguably his best work yet, the Hypnotised EP.

For the first time, Sinisa offers something different; an incredible vocal track. The title track has been a mainstay in Sharam's sets for well over a year, and it was one of the most sought-after tracks from Sharam and Deep Dish's BPM Costa Rica opening party. It comes with a classic Sinisa groove and features the ethereal vocals of Katarina Tatic.

Celebrating the milestone of 50 releases on MOOD Records, label boss Nicole Moudaber has put together this special mix from the MOOD catalogue alongside releasing a remix pack for her collaboration with Carl Cox.

'See You Next Tuesday', the collaboration from Moudaber and Cox originally released in 2014, will now be given new life in the form of remixes by Danny Tenaglia, Solardo, Truncate, Black Asteroid, Raxon and Trunkline. As one of the most popular releases on MOOD, it's an ideal time to reimagine the material.

Following the 'See You Next Tuesday' remixes, 'Mood50: The Best of Mood' will be released with 17 tracks mixed and compiled by Moudaber herself. The compilation features label favorites Pan-Pot, Victor Calderone, Scuba, Gregor Tresher and more.

Moudaber expressed her thoughts on having her esteemed label reach the 50 release milestone in just five years:

"It's been a labor of love and looking back at our 50 releases I feel an immense amount of pride and joy that all the releases can stand the test of time. It's a great platform and creative outlet for me -- if the music is good, then it needs to be heard. If I'm playing it during my sets or on my radio show, then I would release it. 2018 has been one of the best recent years on record for Yoshitoshi, with an emphasis on quality over quantity and plenty to show for it.  The label has made it a strong focus to develop long-lasting partnerships with the artists we work with, hosting many repeat releases and building a trusting and tight-knit family.  In the last twelve months, artists like OC & Verde, Khainz, CJ Jeff, and Wolf Story have become integral parts of the Yoshitoshi network.  As we head into 2019, the 25th anniversary of the label, these efforts have helped lay the groundwork for an even bigger year with many highlights ahead.  

One of the big things for us this year was the continuation of Yoshitoshi Radio, my DJ mix show that we launched in mid-2017.  As of writing this, the show is regularly reaching over a million listeners a week in more than 30 countries on 45 radio stations, and has featured guest mixes from some of the most exciting names in dance music.  The show has become my testing ground for upcoming Yoshitoshi material, and much of what you see on this compilation was debuted in a Yoshitoshi Radio episode before it landed anywhere else.  If you like what we’re doing, I encourage you to subscribe to the show so you can hear the Yoshi promos before anyone else.  And trust me, there’s a lot of amazing music coming up!

As usual, I want to give a special thank you to the artists, managers, and of course fans that made 2018 so great.  We’d be nothing without the people who listen to and buy our records.  Whether you’ve been a Yoshitoshi fan for one day or twenty years, we’re glad you’re along for the ride.  Stay deep.
