PEACHii is the creative project of electronic tracks, sounds and soundscapes of Ivan Carter and Lee Rogers. Originally based in Melbourne Australia, and now based in the quartz hills of Daylesford, 100km north west of Melbourne, picture a fusion of low-fi beats, minimal, classic house and ephemeral classical elements.  

Best described by Melbourne club owner Mike Slade as "techno futurism fueled by a passionate love for smooth sounds and eccentric experimentation", PEACHii began in 2001 with small DJ gigs in inner city Melbourne and an eventual venture in music publishing for film, radio and television. 

Lee Rogers, with his classically trained background and father a popular figure in the UK 1980s reggae scene, was the driving force of the group's early tracks. The early tracks featured an eclectic mix of disco funk and classical strings, driving beats and looping basslines, and featured on local radio and in limited house mixes in inner city Melbourne Clubs. 

But it was Ivan Carter who provided the structure, mixing and formulation of the final tracks, working off the genius of Rogers and completing the pieces for studio output. 

Early DJ gigs for Rogers in South Yarra, Melbourne, stormed home his love for electronic music and allowed PEACHii to get some headway into the early 2000s scene in Melbourne. The nights were long and the days of recovery, but the beats were prospering, with a dozen tracks mixed and mastered at a studio in St Georges Rd, Fitzroy.  

However, tired of the club scene and the techno overload, the creative talents of Rogers and Carter ventured into ambient works and film scores. Numerous music publishing houses were contacted with a series of demos tracks, with PEACHii eventually finding some love in Port Melbourne with Manna Publishing. The group featured their first track on a Brisbane Radio commercial, "J Beats", earning them some money and motivation to continue producing high quality pieces in their new studio in Northcote, Melbourne. 

In 2005, the Rogers and Carter were separated, when Rogers returned to the UK under unfortunate circumstances, and PEACHii took a break from production for a few years. Carter continued to make music in various Melbourne acts, featuring on synth in  Brunswick beat box outfit "So Hi Low Fi" and on bass for Fitzroy superband "Ray Tracer". 

Carter moved to Daylesford in 2008, yearning for the hills and fog filled forested majestics, hoping to reignite the ambient beat sounds of PEACHii. It took quiet a few years to convert an existing garage into a studio capable of producing high quality musical outputs, but the dream returned with a fully insulated garden encapsulated  studio completed in 2014. 

With limited live opportunities in regional Victoria, PEACHii now focus on producing low-fi beats and ambient works, suitable for film, games, television and radio. Their most recent project has been providing a range of tracks and pieces for an Australian based video game producer, who is nearing the completion of a fantasy adventure PC based game that will launch in 2016. 

The sounds of PEACHii continue to evolve, with the future looking bright and full of sound.

Tash Sultana is a young, dynamic Melbourne artist. At just twenty-one years of age, Tash is creating waves and generating massive street buzz by playing sold out shows all over the World. Since having her hands wrapped around a guitar at the age of three, the self taught artist quickly developed her own unique style that has people lining up to see her perform. Her vocal shines with a magical quality, she has a natural gift for melody and her virtuosic guitar playing is from another planet.
  
The young, one-woman powerhouse has literally sold out every headline show booked across multiple countries and played dozens of high profile festivals including Laneway 2017. Both singles ‘Jungle’ and ‘Notion’ were quick to receive high rotation on Australian broadcaster triple j with ‘Jungle’ been added as mega hit of the week on Netherlands 3FM radio and is picking up rotation on stations across North America. Accolades include a #8 ARIA album chart, topping the iTunes chart with her “Notion EP”, ‘Jungle’ coming in at #3 on triple j’s hottest 100, an APRA Award nomination, winning a J award for “Unearthed Artist of the Year 2016” and over 25 million streams Worldwide.

Wilding is a classic-pop songwriter from Melbourne with a distinctly British flavour.

Originally from Liverpool, he moved to Australia to live with his grandmother, yet it’s clear that his hometown left an indelible mark on his music – a carousel ride of infectious and melancholic beat-pop. Influences which flow naturally from Wilding ’s early years in Liverpool and the music that was around him.

Wilding’s first two albums, ‘Bird’s Bread (2012)’ and ‘Molecules to Moons (2016)’ received an overwhelmingly positive critical response:

In 2014, Wilding collaborated with Cian Ciarán from Super Furry Animals as 'Ciarán and Wilding' for a UK release on the band’s own label Strangetown Records. Their song ‘Missing Her’ was named as one of BBC Radio Wales’ tracks of 2014. In 2016, Wilding supported Gruff Rhys on his Australian tour.

His latest single, Swipe Right, leads you through the truly dispiriting pursuit of finding human connection through online dating. Swipe Right holds an infectious groove of spiky, syncopated guitars and bouncing synths. A defiant declaration that life begins on the other side of despair.

In the video, filmed at home during Melbourne’s second wave COVID-19 lockdown, Wilding meets a philosophical stick insect via a dating app and together they ponder the nature of existence.

Swipe Right is one of a series of character-study songs Wilding wrote about people who live in his neighbourhood of Coburg, Victoria. 

His concept album, The Death of Foley's Mall is out on Friday 2 October on Half A Cow Records/Valley Arm.

Michael (he/they) skates with Skate Odyssey, dances with the Real Hot Bitches, sings with first chorus Band of Singers, has played keys with Sophie DeLightful, and likes to make musical doodles with various softwares. Michael is an adult community educator who's also studying a Diploma in Music Performance.
