This mix is the first in a series where I showcase different genres of music based upon what im feeling that month. The spectrum will cover every aspect of music from electronic to accoustic, hip-hop to drum and bass, gabba to ibiza house.

This month I have decided to go with disco house and the truth is a few agencies have been in touch and I believe this is the sort of music that i can bring the local bars and clubs in manchester. 

Disco House ia a modern take on some absolute dancefloor stompers and if anything they hitter harder in the clubs then their classic counterparts. Expect remixs of Queen, Sheila, Biggie Smalls & many more.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

For Januarys mixtape I've gone full throwback. There is no denying that everyone has a guility pleasure and mine is this style of music. It takes me back to my teenage years experiencing clubbing for the first time. I play alot of these records at my gigs now and they still do the business on the dancefloor. There is a banger in here for everyone!

Expect some classics from Mis-Teeq, 50 cent, Justin Bieber, Nelly, Eve, Amerie, Will Smith, Black Eyed Peas & many more.

January 2023 Throwback Mix - R&B / Hip-Hop

With spring and warmer weather on the way I feel this months mix needed some breaky goodness. I've tried to balance out the mix with commercial and underground sounds, make sure to check out the twists on some garage classics and some rare dubs. The last part of the mix is tailored towards the club. 

Manchester has a huge breaks scene with a surge of young producers pushing this sound in the charts and the clubs. Really looking forward to this summer to see which way this specific style goes.

Mystery Bag 005 w/ Sicario

Since I was a little kid I have always been into music. I remember hearing these tunes on the radio and watching some of these artists on Top Of The Pops. Could you imagine being around in your late teens / early 20's clubbing for the first time and hearing this music on a huge sound system in the 90's. No cell phones, no CDJ's, just you and your pals getting down to some of the most pinnacle sounds of house music on pure vinyl.

In this set I've tried to recreate what it must of sounded like back then with some of my favorite records. The quality of some of the records are a bit rough & ready. There is no tricky mixing, the tracks are just played as they should be, if anything it adds to the character and replicates this sound for what it is... RAW

Hyperdome Invites: We Rob Rave - 26-Apr-23 (Threads Radio)

With Bangface weekender around the corner it was only right to dedicate Aprils mix towards this crazy festival. 

Bangface started out in 2003 by running a monthly nightclub event in London, at the Elektrowerkz club in Angel, and have branched out through the annual Weekender event as well as an annual boat party on the River Thames.

Bangface has been praised for throwing parties with a not so serious atmosphere. All their events feature the distribution of inflatable objects, trumpets, vuvuzelas and placards with comedic slogans among the crowd, as well as fancy dress themes.

Expect some absolute stompers from the likes of Lobsta B, DJ Fingerblast, Count Donkula, Polo Lilli, Mandidextrous, DJ Keyliacs, Sherekahnn, Nikki Nair & many many more.

April 2023 Bangface Mix - Donk / Neorave / Breaks

Team GB rolls through with a new 4-track release – the Mosquito Groove EP – packed with percussive tracks to bring energy to any set. The title track sets the mood at 160bpm with rolling cowbells and a lead that will buzz its way into your brain. Next up the frenetic ‘Uncertain Arrhythmia’ pushes things up a notch with 808s bouncing amongst anxious synthesisers. Hypnotic bongos are the mainstay of the next track ‘Omamanu’ which draws influence from the new speed-dembow movement popularised by Siu Mata and Amor Satyr. Finally we come back down to Earth via ‘Hey’ which is as insistent as it is catchy. You can find it exclusively on Bandcamp from 2 June, with streaming on the usual platforms coming from the end of the month.

Well Summer has well and truely arrived in the UK and the BBQ's are out. For this months mix I've put together some of my favorite chillout records which vary in BPM and Genre. I have mixed this together based on "feeling"  more than following the basic rules of DJing.
