Hrag Mikkel - I Need You (Kon Faber Remix) [Marginalia]

This track is so old it predates having any software sequencer as it was saved onto the sequencer on my keyboard. Which means probably about 1990 / 1991. 

Remaking this really was from scratch as I’d only ever recorded to C90 tape. And those tapes are long gone. I did manage to get it down as an mp3 - though with last couple of minutes chopped off and lost forever. 

Here its Ancient Greek title slams up against the Jamaican dub piano of the original. And kicks into a soulful late night dubby vibe.

The Spotter

mr.coon (real name Gerhard Martini) was born in 1972 in Bolzano, South Tyrol. Raised in Terlan, he initially pursued the visual arts by attending the Academy of Painting in Florence, but soon discovered his true passion in music. After making his first steps into the industry through TV and radio spots, his budding career was abruptly halted in 1998 when he suffered a traumatic brain injury just two weeks after his first live performance. Despite the challenges of recovery and the burden of strong medication, Gerhard found the strength to rebuild his life and channel his technical skills into music production.

In 2004, he released his debut album Die Träumer in collaboration with Martin Troger. In 2010, he earned a scholarship to the Music and Media Academy in Hamburg, where he graduated as a music designer. Today, mr.coon dedicates himself entirely to his music and creative projects, collaborating with other artists
