- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku382)”

- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram

Moonlight Shadow (naviarhaiku526)

Turning around,
I see my shadow
in the moonlight

Sumitaku Kenshin was a haiku poet who practiced free-form haiku. He started writing poety after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and dedicated the last 2 years of his life to haiku, leaving 281 poems, mostly published by the free-form haiku magazine Kaishi.

Shadows In Moonlight (naviarhaiku526)

This track was created in answer to the Naviar Haiku challenge 526.

The main texture of the track wad made with a combination of the probabilistic synth Ongaku along with a drone layer created using Points And Lines. The various percussive sounds were added by passing contact recorded sound to Substrata for physical modelling.

Additional swooshes were added via a small virtual modular patch created with VCV Rack.

Moonlight Shadow - (NaviarHaiku-526)

I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.
