Misrak Studio connects artists, pioneers new sound, and builds a collaborative ecosystem to unite communities and elevate East African narratives.

DARAJA is a music innovation and creative hub located in the serene
Lavington neighborhood of Nairobi, Kenya. Designed to serve both East African
and international artists, DARAJA provides an ideal environment for all things
music, from recording and production to workshops and training sessions. We
offer state-of-the-art facilities and professional services to help artists realize their
creative visions. Our mission is to provide a nurturing space for artists and creators
to develop their craft and explore new sounds.

Based in Kilifi, Kenya, British born LASTA is a DJ and Singer, Producer and Curator pushing the arts scene in Kenya as Creative Director for 'Beneath the Baobabs' and on his label ADA Records.

As a DJ, LASTA’s sets are a journey through House Music and Disco both old school and fresh, infusing Live Vocals, embracing syncopated rhythms, layering tracks and deep tropical rhythms to keep you moving. Whilst his Backyard Bass sets demonstrate a deep love for Gengetone, Dancehall, Garage and Jungle.
