Wallowing in the warmth of lower mids and melancholic melody.
Recorded, mixed and mastered on a Tascam DP 32 Portastudio using vintage gear gathered over many years.


Take a large bucket. Add a pint of Neil Young, a pinch of Glen Hansard. Wack in a tea spoon of Damien Rice, then an ickle bit of Tom Mcrae. Shove in a hand full of Mike Scott, a heaped table spoon of Neil Finn and a large dollop of Conor J. O'Brien. Mix with a big stick then strain through an old sock. Pour. What you have is a little bit of Mr C.

I play everything in real time and record and master on a Tascam DP 32 Portastudio. Although three of the older songs on here where recorded on a 8 track tape recorder through an old seck analogue desk.
No pc's are used or abused in the process of me music making. I love tactile recording. Switches, faders, pots and buttons. Mouses are for computers and eating cheese. No Mac, Daws or Windows, Midi or overused plugins. And no automated mixing, compromise being a large part of my final sound.

Like all here, I’m just trying to leave an echo !   Just trying to say I was here. How lucky are we to live in an age when that is possible?

reverend coldheart records with : mike shea, guitar whiz and sound designer, usually at his studio ;  mike hogan, who is a gifted bass player, usually in my kitchen ; joe ferguson, who is the original congregation and who started all this out with a christmas uke  ~   It's his fault !

Also, I’ve been jamming with Jarod, Tek, Gary and Shelbie on Sundays in a little white house out past Stilesville. We record under the name “makebelieve”. Hope to post some jams every now and then .

Since October 2023, Sunday jams with Gman and Reggie.  We record under name of:   “the charlatans”.  Or lately, the Sunday Jam.

Magical Maybe is Steven Parry who lives in Chorley Lancashire.  He writes songs in his spare time and  in his studio under the stairs. Anna has always been surrounded by music from her Irish roots to playing saxophone and clarinet in Yorkshire bands and orchestras. The greatest delight, at a songwriting workshop a few years ago, was the discovery of her voice. It's been described as smoky, rich and its best when shared. In only a short time, she’s learnt to play the guitar and performing her songs is now something of an addiction.

 

Her passion for music is inspired by her passion for people: she’s an English teacher in FE at Keighley College and has worked in journalism. The joy from working with a diverse group of people has often been the stimulus for her songs.
