‘Shadows Fade Away’ is a dark, reflective folk track about isolation, identity, and the quiet power of love. Written from the perspective of someone who’s never felt they belong — until she walks into his life.

LYRICS

I've always been the quiet guy,
A little out of step.
Some people say I've lost my mind,
What did they expect?
In a room full of strangers, 
I quietly slipped away, 
There's not enough,
To make me want to stay.

So why do I feel, that I don't belong?
Why do I say such things? 
That always come out wrong.
It's only me I'm hurting, 
Till she brightens up my day.

Don't these shadows fade away?

I bare the weight that no one sees 
I need to find some peace.
I've never asked for anything, 
Just a feeling of release.
I've walked through shit,

Trapped inside of me.
