what we find (@whatwefind) episode 2 featuring mtty - mitch has been steadily exporting a finely tuned tech-house sound from his sydney home base the world over on labels like hot foot and break free records and has just recently launched a new release series called tea with a solo 4 track ep. this episode features music from panoram, gonubie, nicoba, dj wayne, soulstice and more.

what we find episode 3 featuring Aalia - A music collector of deep care and consideration for all that is shared, Aalia cherishes connecting through music and radiates that brightly from both sides of the booth. This always thoughtful approach to music and mixes has graced series like Worthwhile Tangents, Awkwardly Social, and online radio such as THF and Refuge Worldwide.

In her own words - this mix was recorded during a period when my emotions were tightly bottled up, and I desperately needed a form of self-expression that transcended words. The set encapsulates a dreamy state I've been immersed in for the past few months, weaving through a spectrum of emotions.

You'll hear echoes of sadness and numbness, punctuated by moments of intense insanity that arise when the weight of the world becomes overwhelming. These bursts serve as stark reminders that life outside my personal turmoil continues unabated, pulling me back into a state of autopilot. This set is a reflection of the endless cycle of maintaining sanity in a world that often feels anything but.

what we find episode 4 featuring @soriareilly - moving through spaces of memory and place using vocals, ambience, and rich instrumentation, Soria shares sonic landscapes falling deep in textures and hazed thoughts.

The melodies glisten and the reverb swells like moving tides. Soria's music and personal mixes glide on droning planes of sounds with hints of stirring spoken word and samples drawing listeners in to seek intimate interpretations of the sensory worlds enveloping them.

An approach that dives back through the worn threads of one's mind and surfaces on impressions of present spheres, as observed online for series like Fake Rolex, PVAS, and Radiant Records.

For this mix, Soria shares dark & glam electro-acoustic, drone, and ambient mixed for a summer thunderstorm or a bad mood.

what we find episode 5 featuring sanguine - over recent years, sanguine has been steadily stirring tides from ocean to ocean with music landing far and wide on labels like sure thing, oslated, and lost properties. With his latest sliding doors release, sanguine builds a deep and cloudy soundscape across many different tempos creating a rich sonic world with titles like ear gum and gone to taste a dream to match. This finely tuned method of design and arrangement translates to selection and storytelling in mixes with notable features online for series like pure space, maybe, and decay audio. For this mix, sanguine moves through downtempo sounds from artists like tosca, dawn again, ambien baby, and more.

what we find episode 6 featuring @patienceimpatience - a label slow burning since 2019, patience/impatience captures two sides of musical expression from artists like Nuke Watch and Memotone, to John Carroll Kirby and Leo James. One dives deep through inspired wormholes, while the other plays in the shallows, free from format, rocking the boat. For this episode, glen shares selected summer hits and recent obsessions with to come from carl craig, demdike stare, tryphème and more.

what we find episode 7 featuring tondiue - transmitting from the pacific northwest, tondiue's seattle base has been the fertile ground for a number of releases across labels like secondnature, syn syn and kelp roots. Their sound connects closely with this environment with influences spread across releases, tracklisting, and artworks to create a rich world of releases. Most recently, this can be seen through their own kelp roots imprint with the latest release titled word to the centipede.

For this episode, tondiue share a personal dive through his expansive collection moving in styles of downtempo, ambient, and fourth world.

what we find episode 8 featuring @sino__em - The closest of collaborators on and off the dancefloor. A musical confidant and someone I can always trust to share a soundtracked slice of life with equal gusto and grace.

Evan's taken his deep care and curation of the world of Sino from strength to strength with frequent appearances on Operator Radio, Bar Theo, and other online stations from his base in Amsterdam.

Always a pleasure to collaborate! For this feature, he's brought a collage of styles from orchestral ambient soundscapes & fractured bassy lows, to glitched-out trip-hop & tangled guitar melodies. It's glittered with gems through and through, drop by and get familiar!

what we find episode 9 featuring @emilia__rigaud - moving across many creative plains with ease, emilia shares work primarily through music, written word, and photography. Features of which can be found everywhere from Vogue and C41 Magazine to Refuge Worldwide & Cashmere Radio.

Angel Cat inhabits a world of glistening visuals and shimmering melodies that flow like tides of intuition. Sensing what goes where and when finding that sweet spot to balance multiple creative spheres in orbit. For this mix, we hear music from artists like JakoJako, Upsammy, Carmen Villain, and more. what we find episode ten featuring Nessim. Nessim is an Amsterdam-based DJ & event organiser, who currently holds residencies at Echobox radio & the listening space Murmur. Nessim has shared his sound and collection across many studios and online streams including kiosk radio, future intel, radio radio, and department tapes.

For this contribution, Lucas put this together in the early morning in the Belgian countryside, travelling by train to Paris. Included are some recent finds, & some older favourites from artists like gi gi, jabir, eustress, and more. Thank you to Lucas for sharing the great mix.

what we find episode eleven featuring @mara.mara.mara - Mara is a composer and curator based in Eora / Sydney, working and performing in film, dance, and gallery space by combining live viola with her laptop. 

Mara's music has featured on labels like @purespacefm and more recently as part of @face_ae 's new compilation - Beneath The Quiet Of The Shattered Istäcke with artists like @trypheme and @_andriy_k___ Her album titled At Every Corner combines audio recordings from travels with swelling waves of sounds creating a dreamlike atmosphere of depth and wonder.

This mix titled Vocal Gazing includes, lyrical tendencies, voice note observations, and poly-genre murmurings together in sequence with music inside from Earth flower, Croatian Amor, Mara, and more. Thank you to Mara for crafting this special mix.

what we find episode fourteen featuring @_andriy_k___ - aka cusoon dj - Berlin based producer, live performer and dj. Andriy creates experimental club music and live listening performances, absorbing reflection of your reality with releases on labels like oscilla sound, related articles, and surf.

His latest release ‘Poetry of the Vanished Territories’ is an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine's landscapes, capturing memories of fading places that linger between what was and what remains. Using open source data and field recordings from locations, he blends fragments of reality, nature and memory.

For this feature, the mix drifts through the off-season of life, a time suspended between endings and awakenings. Melancholic, organic textures echo the hush of retreat, only to dissolve into the warm pulse of slow, luminous dub. To clean, to breathe.

what we find episode sixteen featuring somethingmaker - Based in Saigon (HCMC), Vũ is a multidisciplinary artist working across sound, poetry, visual arts. His sound focuses on the atmospheric, an ecosystem between the speakers. Insect-like tendencies, air and water, organic and non-organic blur together. He co-organizes Tắm Đêm_nightswim, a fluid platform for sound, poetry, and performance. His poetry and photography appeared in Noone Magazine issue 2 (Netherlands), and he has exhibited in group shows across Vietnam.

For this edition, he has prepared an unreleased hour of music. A series of slow morning movements, sonic sketches of environmental sounds and soft melodies, as fragile as insect wings.

Somethingmaker's music has made regular features on past what we find shows, so it's a pleasure to now welcome him onto the series to share an hour of unreleased music recorded in early 2025.
