Introducing Episode IV of the SoLow Sessions series: A New Light 

This is my sunrise set that I played at a lovely mini festival called Junetendo- if you know, you know. It was my first time going to bed early and waking up to go and play a set. Rolled up to the event with a coffee in hand and played from 8 am to 10 am. Thankful to all of the people who were either still awake or just waking up who vibed out with me for 2 hrs! Often referred to as 'The First US Bass Music label' , Muti Music has been pushing emerging and established genres of bass music since 2002.
Muti  Music = Medicine Music.
In South African English, the word "muti" is used to refer to all sorts of herbal medicine. It is derived from the Zulu/Xhosa word umuthi, meaning "tree," whose root is -thi. In Southern Africa, "muti" and cognates of umuthi are in widespread use in most indigenous African languages as well as in South African English and Afrikaans, which sometimes use "muti" as a slang word for medicine in general, or even as a term for 'good luck'.

Encounters, from Bay Area based producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a downtempo electronic project blending ambient, downtempo, and live percussion that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration. In August 2022, Encounters released his debut "A Path Beyond" followed by "A Path Beyond Remixed" in 2023, and “Circuit Breaks” in 2024 with “Veil of Echoes”, his first full length album, scheduled for release near the end of 2025. Encounters has performed at electronic music festivals in Europe and America including appearances at Astronox, Infrasound and Stilldream, as well as supporting renowned artists such as Carbon Based Lifeforms, Bluetech, Desert Dwellers and Kaya Project.
