Time for a new episode. Today we welcome Kasia Gościńska with her special summer mix. Lot of old school from the 90s and 00s inside. Vinyl only!

BIO: 
DJ, promoter, founder of szlag and the Sfora festival. Resident DJ of the Fraktion Nimmersatt and SønDER events in Berlin. Drawn to heavier electronic music, in her club sets, Kasia Gościńska revolves around the sounds of broken & industrial techno, electro, EBM, weaving in some faster UK-influenced breaks, post punk and dark wave flavors. Industrial slow-beat, experimental and ambient music all have a special place in her selection as well. Her ever-evolving music interests brought her to delve into various styles that she juxtaposes in her sets. Melting dark electro with hypnotic groovy techno; breakbeat with 4x4 EBM techno or smashing an industrial set spiced up with some acid rave, punk, D’n’B and experimental rhythms is what you can expect. Kasia Gościńska cultivated her passion for electronic music in the hometown of Warsaw. After moving to Spain, she converted from a raver to a DJ the moment she started missing the harder face of music in the area she lived. Berlin, the current home-base, motivated her to discover different styles and genres, to go outside of the comfort zone.

Time for a new MWTG episode. Today we welcome very talented artist from eastern Poland - Rraph!

BIO: 
Born in eastern Poland, rraph treads the dark, deep soundscapes of techno.
Since his debut release in 2013 on Translucent, he has count many others on the likes of Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Counter Pulse, Subraum and of course his base, Gynoid Audio. Associated with the project since its launch, rraph contributes as an A&R and also immensely as an artist signing acclaimed work such as the Eseries EP which includes a Kwartz Remix or the Syndykat EP. He has also been quite prolific in providing remixes as well as tracks for various compilations. During the past years rraph has performed both live and as a DJ in renowned clubs around Europe such as Tresor, IPSE and Arena in Berlin, Corsica Studios in London, Le Batofar in Paris, Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg and more. Since 2015 rraph has been a member of Warsaw-based Behind the Stage collective and together with aetha is also a co-creator of VULTUR, an event series taking place in Poland.

New podcast belongs to a fresh blood of the Silesian electronic scene - MPE!

BIO:
Fresh blood of the Silesian electronic scene, unofficially associated with the Cel club stationed in Katowice. Since the beginning of his journey, he has strongly represented the Electro/Break scene, where he reaches back to the most distant origins of these generations. Old-school sounds are what he likes most, but he doesn't shy away from modern music productions either. In his mixes, in addition to broken beats, you can hear a lot of Techno with a lot of the 'groove' factor, as well as interesting and unobvious IDM tracks. He has played alongside artists such as dj Stingray 313 (P23 Katowice), Wallis - jell, Asquith, Monster, WE LECIM, SLAP and OTHK.

We close August with a podcast from a young representative of the Wroclaw scene. The latest Retrospect episode belongs to Szermi!

BIO:
Szermi is the youngest representative of Wrocław's Tech-room 29 in terms of age and seniority, where he made his debut behind the decks in December 2020. Since then, he's spent countless hours behind the decks playing after-parties and playing at their events on several occasions, which led to him joining their line-up in May 2021. That same year, he also became a resident of Wrocław's Transformator in November. In June this year, he had the opportunity to play for the first time at the LAS Festival and was nominated for the 'Munoludy 2021' poll, in the 'Discovery of the Year' category, where he eventually took 6th place. Szermi's sets are primarily a combination of space and hypnosis overflowing tracks with energetic, dynamic, sometimes funky grooves. Frequent strong footwork, even more frequent tribal motifs - often interspersed with broken ones, resulting in often unpredictable compositions.

BIO: 
Shelley, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun. Her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected, with a vibe strongly rooted in nature, dressed in deep techno. Her sessions blend hypnotic & percussive sounds with dubby & organic atmospheres. Through this combination, she achieves to impact mind & soul in an unique way, channeling her love for the deeper electronics and turning it into beautiful sonic sceneries. You can find her mixes on such platforms as Diffuse Reality Records, Indefinite Pitch, Deepicnic, Fur:ther Sessions, Unknown Timeline, TechnoTrippin, Temple.Recordings to name a few.

BIO:
If music were a person it would be my love of life. Unfortunately this love has many sisters attractive and beautiful. After a dark and powerful love affair with techno, I decided to jump into a hot, casual and summer love affair with house music. I take it on walks, to work and rave itself is her favourite pastime. 
In my musical endeavours, I don't like to limit myself because it's a waste of life. In the age of constant hierarchisation in the DJ world and the grotesque need to catch mostly the mistakes of others, I take a big leap away from that and try to give music its original value - freedom and fun. Don't expect classical and correct forms from me. I do it in my own way and above all for you.

This set is my first one played at a Fest Festival and I decided to share it. Sometimes you can hear people shouting or horses rushing in the background. I put a lot of positive energy in it.

Private Press is a Warsaw-based duo made up of Adam Brocki and Jan Wóycicki. For six years of publishing, the artists have been sharing their music with us, which is difficult to classify unequivocally. For we have had delicate breakbeat and monumental dub techno released on Indigo Aera. Then there are the timeless house-techno hybrids released by such stalwarts of the UK scene as Ben Sims and Radio Slave - on Hardgroove and Rekids respectively. Plus releases on Oblique Music and Of Paradise. Each presenting the musical face of this enigmatic duo in a different way.

Among the artists who use it in their sets, it is worth mentioning Ben Sims and DVS1.

DJ, beginner producer, member of the broadly developing @tech-room29 collective. An energetic dancer starting his DJ adventure with a bit faster British hard techno. Along with the increase in experience, he stylistically moved back a bit further, to the times of the beginnings of his interest in technical music, where he was inspired by the schematic, minimal and hypnotic sound at the Das Lokal club. The combination of these factors has led to a high level of interest in the recently soaring Portuguese wave that often mixes with a broken or industrial foot.

What comes to your mind about the nickname Furie? We can bet not the subtle face in the photo below. But don't let this sweet smile fool you - its dark side emerged in the darkness of the @tech-room29 basement already in the gloomy times of the pandemic. On the decks, from the very beginning of her mixing adventure, she presented genres with the prefix hard, combining them with harmonious melodies. Currently, her biggest inspiration is broken electro and carving, humming techno. Furie does not hide the fact that he enjoys the energy of stuffy dance floors, giving it twice as much in return. Until now, you could experience its element in clubs such as @klubcialo, @wyspatamka, @transformator-tfr, @schron66 and Projekt LAB.
