Stavros Tsiapos and Dimitris Petrichos created the music duo Reign of Time in Athens in 2015. Their musical style is often described by their crowd as "Reign of Time style", comprised of ecstatic synth notes, strong bass lines, and groovy drums. 

Except their shows in Greece, there is a great chance you will spot them telling their musical fairytales in Berlin, the city that they spend half their time. Their gigs in Berlin include frequent shows at mythical clubs like Sisyphos, Rummels Bucht, Anomalie, Ritter Butzke, Kullstatte Keller, Birgit und Bier and others. 

They are true pilgrims of music, having served its cause in many places around the world. From dark industrial warehouses in Mongolia and UNESCO protected bathhouses in Moscow to posh Dutch clubs. 

In 2021, they created a theatre show for the Athens Conservatory along with one of the most established directors in Greece, George Koutlis, which combined theatre play and electronic music.

In 2022, they founded Arcana, a multi-faceted community, which also operates as a music label and booking agency. They release their tracks there (along with other talented artists) and make the most hyped parties in Athens (Neoclassical Grounds, Arcana Showcase, etc.)

Also, they are members of Blend Athens, the biggest & oldest party organizers in Greece and Cyprus.

Disco Suicide Mix Series 064 - Reign of Time

For this month’s @relativaradio Show, I have invited Portuguese powerhouse @MaddRod for a guest mix. After moving from Lisbon to Berlin he has quickly become a prevalent name on lineups in the German capital and on dance floors across Europe.

The @innershahrec label head, versatile selector and producer gives us an insight into his influences and captivating flow in his hour-long set.

Stahler aims to spread glitter dust through creating lofty and floating dark disco & indie dance sounds. Moving from Singapore to Berlin in 2014 Stahler discovered the decks in an escalated night of synthetic avocados and black chocolate forces. Shortly after he began playing fruity DJ sets at intimate events & house parties before he started to fill chunkie beat plates at bigger parties and events, ranging from art exhibitions to clubs and festival stages.

His melodic indie dance sets are appreciated for their danceable, yet wobbly and deep sounds infused with tasteful influences from the lively 80s, spicy Italo Disco and profound dark disco tunes, covering wide electronic frequency terrains. Since 2018, Sascha is producing music under his artist name Stahler and released various tracks until today ranging from deep house to indie dance.

A BERLIN MELANGE

Again and again Florian Herzberg – the mastermind behind My Secret Playground – is drawn to his hometown Vienna. A city full of old glory and vanity, a spirit of optimism and standstill in the same way. On his releases the now Berlin-based producer combines these peculiarities in Electro and modern sounding 80s tracks. Rolling aggressive beats are replaced by broad synths and strings. Pounding kick drums paired with nostalgic vocal lines and vocoders make the leap into the 21st century and give My Secret Playgrounds an own contemporary Indie Dance sound. 

For more than a decade Florian has been based out of Berlin; in the German capital, he has not only found his unique musical voice – but emotional solidity within his greatest passion.
2014 he launched his live music project ‘My Secret Session’, an event where DJs and musicians improvise live together to dance music. Through this session he was able to shape the unique organic sound width of My Secret Playground and also work with the best musicians in town. Since then Florian has been performing internationally as a DJ and with his band, creating a variety of sounds that sets him apart from the rest.

His track „Wir Tanzen“ on Rabotat Records, combined with the viral video during Quarantine 2020, followed by his EP „Fears of Tears„, on Melopee Records, pushed My Secret Playground to a wider audience. His latest releases have all made it into the Beatport Indie Charts Top100. 

Since 2022 Florian organizes the hedonistic Party Theme Whipped Cream – a colorful dance soiree with artists like Freundenthal, Vlad Yaki, Bizzarro Universe or Myrddin.

My Secret Playground releases on labels such as Melopee Records, Sincopat, Jeahmon! and Rabotat Records.
