The silence was unbearable, you could cut through the tension with a knife. Staring at one another in disgust had been replaced with eyes fixed firmly on the floor; they had nothing left to say, nothing that hadn't been screamed and unheard a thousand times before. There was no room for manipulation, blackmail or tears now, the damage had been done, and that was something they'd have to sit with for the rest of their lives. 

Amsterdam-based vocalist and performer Sophie Du Palais AKA Vrouwe Fataal has previously wowed listeners with her commanding 'fetish-inclined' vocals on acclaimed releases for Pinkman and Dekmantel Recordings. 

Following a solo production outing last year via Hague-based imprint traumgarten's debut compilation, Sophie offers up her debut solo LP ‘Endurance of Pain is the Power of Being’ for B.F.E. Records. Across the six tracks, Sophie explores themes of lust, hedonism, technological obsession and millennial alienation, leading the charge with her sinister and untamed vocals that sit on a bed of electronics that pull from EBM, acid, techno, industrial and wave.

The opening track from Robi Insinna (Headman)'s upcoming Relish Industria Vol. 1, this new track Mondowski is more than just a little bit special. In fact, it's a ruddy great treat.

As the bass pumps right through to the centre of your brain, all you'll be able to see is big pulsing dots in front of your eyes - the world is a very different place if you're wrapped up in bass vision. You've got over eight minutes to wrap yourself up in a human-sized envelope, roll down to your local postbox and wait for an unsuspecting postman to pick you up and deliver you all the way to Basstown.

That's probably a real place somewhere, right? Anyway, enjoy a song about the boy who cried wolf.

In Aeternam Vale was created in Lyon, France in 1983 under the heavy influence of punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk roboticism and cold, aggressive industrialism. Bridging EBM, proto-techno and synthesised dark pop, the prolific Minimal Wave outfit was making fearless music in the 80's that is only recently being reinterpreted. 
This live recording is taken from Laurents pulsating Berlin Atonal performance, curated by Contort in 2014, and highlights some of his best work to date.

Leo Pearson and Stephen Mulhall are future Bones, an Irish electronic duo who debuted in 2013 with a pump EP in Tici Taci. Since then they have put out three more releases 'Pain Killer", "Dirty Profit" and "Gone again" as well as producing remixes for Tronik Youth, Rich Lane and Duncan Gray. 2015 sees them begin a new chapter with DJ/Live improv sets that give their music a fresh and spontaneous edge. More new releases and remixes planned through out the year makes this a very productive and creative time for the two producers.
His mix for Danceteria continues its distinctive darky and sexy style.

Dystopix comes 3 years after the last Neud Photo record and the wait was well worth it. Things have gotten darker with this release. Elegant craftsmanship, subtle but effective vocals whisper throughout, and as always, it's Cybotron influence is clear. The tracks flow with an eery cohesiveness, making it Neud Photo's most well told story to date. The hard part is figuring out whether the story is fiction or (soon to be) reality.

These 6 electro hits can easily be enjoyed either chapter by chapter (songs for the mix or dancefloor), or as a whole (for bedroom listening). Mastered by Rude 66.

Neud Photo (Nico Nightingale) has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing. The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing 'Dreamz' carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences as well. R&S meets Subway meets Mute. 
While each track plays on it's own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious. 
They completely satisfy aural wishes excited during the day which remain unrealized. They are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes.

The dark & brooding sound of Namesis debuts on Soma with the Rave Is Dead EP. Taking inspiration from various electronic disciplines such a new beat, EBM and even industrial, Namesis have collected a solid release consisting of superbly crafted dark, synth driven music. 

The EP’s opening track Blade Runner, a collaboration with Corvad, has dark and futuristic overtones as jarring synths rip at the heart of the track with serious intensity. Lies Around leans on more industrial vibes with ominous sweeping pads screeching across a base of distorted synths and crashing percussion. Title Track Rave Is Dead is a sinister and dread inducing trip as a direct beat drives a hard message. Call Me Out feat the vocal stylings of Sunko is a more paced affair that still caries the twisted sounds of Namesis, with a broken beat and apocalyptic feel present from the opening. Whispers in the Dark closes out this unique release for Soma as polyrhythmic synths and epic vocals create a higher atmosphere whilst still retaining the foreboding sound of Namesis.
