Ages ago, while trawling Spotify, I stumbled on this song by Luke Doucet, a Canadian singer - songwriter(and great guitarist!). 
I immediately loved the guitar part and the lyrics.
It seemed like it would be fun (and a challenge) to learn the song - just guitar and voice, and upload it between bigger projects. Hoping I've done it justice :)

I wrote this song last year at Christmas with my brain addled with egg nog and sugar plum fairies. Finally recorded it to get it out there for this Christmas.
Guitars on this song are a Gretsch 2622TG with P90s, a vintage modified Stratocaster, and a classic 60s Telecaster...plus sleigh bells, of course.

Dust is a song about leaving things behind to enforce personal growth. Pondering about your past, you can become blind to your present and the growth in between. This emotional dust has to be blown off the surface. Stop negative self talk and realize, that the things you did in the past have been done by your former self. Accept, that there is wrong about it and that there is no way to change certain decicions. Though having the same goal, the person you are today may solve things differently. Special thanks to the band for recording and to Berni Armstrong for tweaking the lyrics.

This track follows the theme of this new album about a young mans experience of growing up in the mid 19th century in Ireland, seeing his brother leave home to find a new life in America. When they were young lads, he and his three brothers played at being nights of the round table. Each brother was given a name; the oldest Galahad. Hence the title of the track.
