Here's the recording for my DJ set from July 2nd, 2017 at the Katerblau Kiosk, hands down my favorite place to play music in Berlin.  The whole venue is a wonderland of discovery, the staff is extremely kind and hospitable, and I don't think I've played for a more open minded crowd in all of Europe. Longer sets allows you to take your time and be patient with the music, and the mixing.  The slow building journey I had imagined in my mind, was possible to make a reality, and extra time allowed me to experiment as well. This was probably my favorite gig of my entire 2 month Summer Sol Europe Tour. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I had creating it in the Kiosk.  Thanks to Mira, Britta, Martin, Claudia, Joyce, David, Brett, Toto, Sylvie, Dorin, any other friends I may have forgotten who were there, and especially to all you lovely dancers who joined me on this ride. “MATADERO” es un enigmático y profundo disco que trae al presente los dolores del imaginario social vivenciado hace casi 150 años con la embestida de la peste amarilla en Argentina y que, inevitablemente, nos conecta a nivel emocional con el extraño momento de la pandemia actual.

“MATADERO” es un disco muy particular, fruto de una investigación histórica que nos traslada a 1871 cuando la fiebre amarilla terminó por matar a casi el diez por ciento de los habitantes de ciudad de Buenos Aires. Es un trabajo que rescata un complejo imaginario auditivo que aborda la instancia del carnaval - momento de mayor contagio de la peste-, integrando sonoridades asociadas a lo afro, el candombe, la murga, y una musicalidad que, a la vez, describe un estado emocional de dolor y de miedo asociado a la época.

In ancient Greece, music, or "mousikē,” encompassed song, dance and word. Mousike Records continues to honor each art form with new releases. For its next one, the label welcomes “two percussionists turned producers.” Z / F conceived “Ougan” following an Ayahuasca retreat. Inspired by wise shamans, they went on to create six original tracks. The duo, made up of Zenabu and Firuzabadì, now highlights a personal favorite! Appearing second to last, “Yātrā” means “pilgrimage" in Hinduism and other Indian religions.
