To participate in the Haiku Music challenge:

- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku382)”

To submit your track:

- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on X, Facebook or Instagram

The rain field recording felt inevitable as a starting point—once in place, the chimes followed naturally. Two measures of gentle drones and a few understated piano notes later, and the piece settled into a safe haven. Nothing more felt necessary.

I've used rain samples a few times recently so decided to do something different and find another way to represent rain, the result is a bit abstract but that's OK it's part of the dream. Everything was created using Voltage Modular with the addition of GRFX from Imaginando to add an extra layer to the rain. As usual the track is the result of a single "Live" take.
