Continuing with the theme from last week here is another mix that was done during the covid 19 lockdown. Again, some of our neighbors were present when I recorded these sets. Last week's mix was mainly mid tempo edits but with this one I picked up the pace with proper house. Since I'm lazy, the majority of the these tracks come from my Toolroom and Salted Music playlists. It's tracks that I get as promos from these labels and most of them are out now so make sure to look for them at your favorite digital store. Enjoy.

I find joy in collecting what I call true gems of music, I'm a music enthusiast who seeks to share tunes and rhythms that are not easy to find... I like pretty much all kinds of genres as long as there was creativity and boldness in the sounds created. 

I could not consider myself a DJ, as I cannot do any tricks and I can barely match BPM :-) however I really like putting sets together depending on my mood and I never plan the song I will play, I like to enjoy the journey of blending songs together, if I like the final result then I share 

This is all about the music, I've been listening to music since I was born and I will continue to do so till my last step.

I will always be appreciative of all the DJs and Producers that inspire me.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.

If it's house with a flavor, there's a good chance that I like it. Urban, soulful, rhythmic music seems to invoke feelings of euphoria and uncontrollable movements (hopefully considered dancing). This seems to keep my head above water. So don't forget to cut loose and let your head bounce, feet tap, hands clap or whatever music does to get you through your day. Enjoy life! DON'T BE SCARED!!!

Early nourished by rock, pop, flamenco, funk, soul, hip-hop and disco music, it only took one step to convert and perform as a DJ in the 90's - 00's years in several bars and clubs in Switzerland, in city of Lausanne, Geneva and more...  and few stints in the  "House Machine show"  on "Couleur 3" and "One FM" radios stations.

Switzerland is my country, Spain is in my heart, HOUSE MUSIC  is my religion !
