Do not make the children pay again — a call to the leaders of Israel and Palestine. The war is over. The weapons are silent. But peace is not silence. Peace is a choice, every day again. We call upon you — leaders of both peoples — to follow the handshake of the children. They have no agenda, no grudges, no past that paralyzes them. They play. They laugh. They build something new together. Let their play become your policy. Let their joy be your strategy. For every bomb that falls, falls on a future. Every bullet that flies strikes a story that was yet to be written. You were not chosen to repeat. You were called to break through. The world is watching, but more importantly: the children are looking up. At you. At what you do with this chance. Do not let peace be a pause between two tragedies. Let it be a beginning. A beginning of cooperation, of reconstruction, of shared hope. No wall is stronger than a child who laughs. No border is sacred if it separates what want to grow together. We do not demand perfection. We demand courage. The courage to choose life, to choose dialogue, to choose a future where the names of children are no longer on memorial stones, but in schoolbooks, in works of art, in dreams. Peace has begun. Let it endure.

The memory of a survivor (Mr. Sami Modiano) : in one night his meeting with his sister separated by a high-tension barbed wire; he wants to give her a present and throws her a piece of bread; she picks it up and then She threw a package to the Brother in which there was the slice of bread received from Him and His!... She makes the gesture of a hug even if it is not real because she can not hug him; after a few days  She disappeared...

Remembering all this is to make sure that it does not happen again, to make sure that all of us annihilate the winds of racism and religious fundamentalism that at this moment seem to blow on all over the world .
