Album 7 was started tonight, 20130212, while high on life I became fascinated with a dialogue in Archer S04E01, I just started pressing the left mouse button bringing the dialogue back to a specific point in time, making a loop. I would let the dialogue play out for an arbitrary amount of time and then click the mouse and bring it back to the start of the dialogue loop. The process was so entertaining that I think I probably did this for about 20 minutes. The random loop sequences felt like art so I decided to reserve an album for audio art, called Audio Artz.

This album will contain "non music-centered" experimental audio.

While watching Workaholics Season 3 Episode 16, I started messing around with the VLC time-scrollbar, jumping back and forth in the video, and the audio sounded hilarious so I decided to record it. While I was listening to the recording I was trying to figure out what to call this kind of audio art and I finally landed on "broken record art" because I noticed I was looping random phrases and sounds quite often so it created a sort of broken-record feeling.

Watching Archer (S04E01), I became coincidentally fascinated by this short dialogue between the ladies and started recording the audio of the video while I was playing around by pressing the left mouse button at a particular point in time on the video play bar, after an arbitrary length of video had been played, in order to start the loop over again.

With this new creation, I'm starting a new album: Audio Artz

This track is a good example of "tension and release" in practice. The tension happens every time I loop back to the beginning of the dialogue. Partial release happens every time I allow the dialogue to play out a little bit, but ultimate release comes when the whole dialogue sequence plays out.
