John Debo is a master manipulator of modular tech. Having purged himself of studio software to return to the open-ended creative freedom of his original analogue roots, the maverick DJ/Producer is surfing an inspired wave of modular experimentation, where the beauty of simplicity is everything. Where the creative process is stripped back to the essence of what true individuality means, where a single analogue instrument dictates a whole new workflow and a brand new spiraling web of creative possibilities.

New York born and Boston-bred, John Debo is undoubtedly a pioneer of underground dance music culture. His club nights at Venus De Milo, Axis & Avalon in Boston, carry legend status, having laid a strong foundation for the now flourishing electronic music scene in the US. 

Whether on the decks, in the studio, or (in recent years) sharing his experience & experiences with his students at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, music is always at the forefront for John Debo. With a multitude of releases spanning decades on the likes of Bedrock, Selador, Fade, Sound Avenue, Stripped, We Are Here Music and his own long-running Mindwarp imprint as perfect examples, he is a master of his chosen craft and shows no sign of slowing the pace anytime soon.

‘Last Night On Earth’ is Sasha’s home for supporting exciting new electronic music talent and his new solo productions.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England.
