Hip Hop mixed with Jazz the new Jazzmatazz Style. Here is a personal List of 50 Tracks made by worldwide artists from forward thinking Labels such as Mo Wax, Ninja Tune, Good Locking, Compost etc. Remixes of Björk, DJ Shadow, Tosca, Pressure Drop, DJ Krush, Nightmares on Wax to name a few. Doza is a Seattle-based DJ/producer who has played a seminal role in the Pacific Northwest electronic music community throughout the 21st century. A first generation Venezuelan-American born in Texas who has been based in Seattle since childhood, Doza originally made his mark on the dancefloor circuit as one-half of the production duo LawnChair Generals during the early 2000s. Although it's been nearly a decade since the last LawnChair Generals release, Doza has stayed active with solo productions and remixes, as well as co-founding Hunt & Gather Records alongside local luminaries Dave Pezzner and Michael Manahan. 20 years deep in the PNW scene, Doza continues to keep Seattle's dancefloors moving amidst all of the city's undeniable transformational changes.

'Solid Steel Radio' (The Passing of An Era)

Solid Steel in association with Serato (31st August) 3 years ago Solid Steel DJs Cheeba, Moneyshot and Food had the idea of collaborating on a version of the Beastie Boys‘ ‘Paul’s Boutique’ album made entirely from the original sample sources, shortly after Moneyshot aired his mix of their ‘Check Your Head’ album in the same way. 

Finally the result is here, titled ‘Caught In The Middle Of A 3-Way Mix’ - each of them have taken a third of the album to work on and combined their efforts into a mix that will make you hear it in a new way. Aside from the original sample sources they’ve included commentary from the Beasties, vintage interviews, demo versions and much more.

The mix was over half way completed when they heard the tragic news of MCA‘s death in May so the impetus to finish it was instantly doubled and new meaning given to the project. It goes without saying that this is also a tribute to Adam Yauch and the legacy he left behind and we hope it will be embraced by Beastie fans around the globe.

Following the worldwide success of the 'Paul's Boutique' remix project 'Caught In The Middle of A 3 Way Mix'  (produced with fellow Solid Steel DJs; Moneyshot and DJ Food) DJ Cheeba returns with another documentary style mix charting the huge influence and mass appeal of arguably the greatest rock band of all time: Led Zeppelin. 

This mix has been made to coincide with the release of  'Celebration Day' and digs chronologically through the band's first six albums (1969-1975), picking out key tracks, their influences, subsequent covers and some of the notable examples of where they were sampled in hip hop, dance music and pop.

From 'Good Times, Bad Times' to 'Kashmir' this is a DJ mix made for everyone from the die hard fans who were there in 69' to the kids who only know the name from the iconic tee shirts. Turn it up loud... there's no other way to hear it!
