I had the absolute honor of playing two sets at Psytribe's Spring Frequency.  This is the second unexpected/improvised set I jumped in for when there was a hiccup with an artist getting caught in traffic.  I'll post the first one sometime soon. Sculpted Sounds is comprised of the husband and wife team of Lawrence Chavoya and Bruna Amaral. 
Lawrence, also known as DJ Paradigm, is recognized as one of the longest standing core pillars of USA psychedelic trance.

In anticipation of his full artist album, Triceradrops brings us a haunting new EP on BMSS Records. The US producer was inspired by the notion of writing music for souls that have transcended into another world, and - true to his signature style - this is psychedelic music with a distinct heady and industrial vibe. 

As a result, the release drags the listener to the darker side to face their own fears and demons head-on, before drawing them into a tech-fuelled climax by the means of the subtlety balanced grooves and modulated textures. A subtle interplay between light and dark, this is a formidable psychedelic rendition of the eternal yin and yang.

Triceradrops & No Cliu - Ashes of the Phoenix [BMSS Records | 2020]

Born in Beijing, China, No Cliu relocated to New York at the age of six and a few years later moved to Southern California where he was primarily raised.

No Cliu's love for electronic music started as a teenager when he was first introduced to Progressive Trance and Drum and Bass. It wasn't until he moved to Japan at the age of 22, that he discovered Psytrance and its culture. It was in Tokyo that No Cliu discovered his new musical passion and began DJing at various small bars and clubs all over the city.

No Cliu remained in Japan for five years and in 2011 he returned to Southern California. Upon his return, he actively looked for a Psytrance scene in the United States.
This search led him to groups like Psytribe, Pulsar and Pulse where he would remain active in the scene and later became an official team member of Pulsar. No Cliu is also part of US based psytrance label, Pharmacy and Sculpted Sounds.

No Cliu’s released his first EP (Fatty Tuna) on Pharmacy, a US Trance and Psytrance label by world’s top DJ, Christopher Lawrence. Fatty Tuna reached number 4 on Beatport’s psytrance top 100 releases.
