Birds know all the secrets. There’s something in their sonorities that resonate in the sounds of the world and the sounds of the world resound in birds too. In this piece, Everything sounds like birds, through the use of recordings made by me around the world, I wanted to enhance the ability of sound to integrate with others and create new imaginaries. Diverse sound ambients from different places are integrated into a single bird-environment.

Artist-Composer. 1991. Bogotá-Colombia. She has participated in Colombia, Mexico, France, Spain, Italy with works that involve sound, electroacoustic music and theatre.

Entre field recording et documentaire, Ici, sur le Caillou propose un instant au ralenti, pour s'évader au large en compagnie de gens qui ont fait le choix de l'insularité. A bord d'une petite île bretonne, un petit caillou de 2 kilomètres de large au milieu de l'océan, on écoute le récit de ces personnes qui, un jour, ont échoué là, et ont décider d'y reconstruire un bout de vie.

Fasciné depuis l’enfance par la radio, Gérald Wang tente d’explorer des formes entre field recording et documentaire sonore. Il a actuellement un pied en Belgique et un autre en Suisse, où il réalise des programmes pour la RTBF et la RTS.

'In-between, longing' is the sonic interpretation of 'Brise Soleil' written by Michael Langan. The text tells a memory of Michael's husband, the artist Henrique Neves, about an encounter with a boy when he was 6. The groups of words scattered on the page invite the reader to wander around to recreate their own version of the story.
Based solely on recordings of Henrique's voice, 'In-between, longing' meanders infinitely through the possible versions of this formative experience.
The piece is infinite and generated from a code written in SuperCollider using a random seed. This public version is generated with seed 262 (the most uninteresting number according to Wikipedia at the time of publishing).

He creates sonic experiences at the boundary between the natural and the artificial, that retain the essence of the original sounds.
