Bittersüße Düsterballaden treffen auf kindlich verspielte Freak-Folk-Miniaturen, sakrale Pop-Hymnen schmiegen sich an zerberstende Noise-Katharsis; Klavier, Akkordeon, Omnichord, Auto-Harp, Magnus Chord Organ aber auch Hammer und Stahlplatte. Das alles findet Platz im Klanguniversum von Kristin Theresa Drechsler alias Me And My Two Horses. Bei der promovierten Philosophin und Autodidaktin weiß man nie so recht, was als Nächstes passieren wird: Schreit sie uns gleich an oder lullt sie uns mit Sirenengesängen ein?

Trotz ihrer Unberechenbarkeit ist die Musik irgendwie eingängig, weshalb das Orkus!Magazin sie anlässlich der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „No Man’s Land“ beinahe zur neuen Dark-Pop-Königin gekrönt hätte: „Der Thron der Dark-Pop-Königinnen kann sich auf was gefasst machen“. Aber ob sie überhaupt eine Krone will? Vermutlich ja. Aber nur, um sie dann mit leuchtenden Augen vor uns zerschlagen zu können.

Daughter Of Dawn is the solo project of Emma Goldman Grey (Malachi, Contentious, Hive), a trans musician and activist residing in Los Angeles, California.

Whereas Emma's former musical work tended towards the visceral end of the music spectrum, Daughter Of Dawn utilizes softness, minimally distorted guitars, electronic pulses, and glitch elements to encapsulate songs about love, grief, joy, and justice.

Im Hamburger Wahlexil bastelt der Berliner Songwriter "Sun Kink" treibende Kopfnicker zusammen. Seine Texte sind gespickt mit widerspenstigen Elefanten, meuternden Schiffsbesatzungen und anderen mentalen Labyrinthen. Mal finsterer, mal funkier erkundet "Sun Kink" die Gitarre auf der Suche nach neuen Sounds.
