'Sacred Riddims' is an ecstatic-dance journey which includes devotional, melodic and tribal music from all over the world.

I was stocked to share an early version of my new remix of "Uraga/Story" by The Garifuna Collective, and see how well people responded to it.

Highlights of this journey:

- Arabic melodies with Brazilian Bass
- Very Ragga-heavy Reggaeton
- A Rock song on a piano - The dancers took a moment to tune into this one and then loved it!
- A legendary Rock/Soul song by Otis Redding, from a live performance in 1967, shortly before his untimely death.
- French-Canadian folk, Gypsey folk, and Devotional Tibetan Buddhist chants
- An Afro-House anthem by Sister Pearl

Set @ Time is Art's Tribal Dance Cacao Ceremony

Deep, tribal music is that which carries the present minded listener to the doorstep of infinity.

The second edition of The Space Between downtempo yoga mix series welcomes Mose (@mosemusica).

Founder of @ResuenoMusic, medicine musician, producer, and auditory healer, Mose spends much of his time in Guatemala where cacao ceremonies, Kirtan and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style.

It is there on Lake Atitlan that he founded the weekly SunSet Cacao Dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance in a container of deep intention and free of alcohol and other substances.

Having been nomadic since 2011, he has developed a sound all his own through interaction with cultures from around the world. He finds a way to fuse the organic elements of tribal traditions with modern production techniques in order to create an entrancing journey for both relaxed listeners and those eager to move their bodies.

I couldn't have imagined it humanly possible to have such a delectably rich dance floor ride with a group of 10 men. Let alone on an isolated island unplugged from the grid. It was a brotherhood gathering, on a chilly, rainy weekend at Rawa Land. Don't get me wrong, spirit was flowing, but bringing the digital realm of electronics onto the desolate island that is Rawa Land, wasn't part of my bag man. Personally, I was completely at peace with drumming, flutin, and singing around the fire. We sat in ceremony for 2 days doing exactly that.... Sharing, reflecting, Being. Modern, Vulnerable Men unplugged in nature. Love it. 

On day 3 something shifted.  Brother Mane had me at the front of a canoe as he guided us back to the mainland. Parked at the marina, was my van with all that we needed to power a sonic space ship. The mission was to bring it all back via canoe to Rawa Land. We arrived back at the land just as the night was setting in. Out came the headlamps and power tools. Genny rippin', saws runnin, sparks flyin.... The men came together and 2 hours later we had ourselves a fully functioning space craft powered by a DJ booth from God itself. 

With the ship ready to sail, we shifted down to the fire to align on the mission. The rain spirits sprinkled as we circled in prayer. Cacao and Mycelium made its way around the circle while we each shared and felt the feels of the moment. Medicine inside, hearts exposed, we made it back up to the ship and sealed its door for 3 hours. It got nasty, buck nasty. Far nastier than i thought I'd be sharing... There was something about this all male container that words cannot describe....

This set arises from the most divine source that is our "Inner Nature".
Live Looping is a wonderful tool that I found to be able to share my spirit, my deepest feelings, my essence. A very present connection, a source of divine inspiration. The beauty of truly sharing is that we give and receive at the same time. The best way to purify this world and us is to know our own essence and share it freely without judgment, to create that paradise that we all desire.
Let's live in a Loop of Beauty. A eternal cycle where your beauty and your essence make mine flourish and so on. In this paradise there is a Universal Language, from there comes these melodies, the rhythms, all the notes and chants. Tuning and looping.. Vibrations, Sounds & Music. This is my way to share my soul with you.
